Bani's kitchen reviews
73Bani's is in a great location close to the foreshore. It has a good & varied selection of choices on the menu. I was pleased with the wines by the glass & enjoyed the sparkling rose. Our meals were good, but not exceptional. We were left baffled by the price of the meals - eg. $38 for moussaka plus $15 for green salad. The service we experienced was ok but basic, young staff who did not demonstrate friendliness etc. It was noisy and we could see and hear staff carrying plates and cutlery around to re-set tables. Having tables re-set close by, it would be nice for the staff to be mindful of their movements and making noise. We anticipated it may be a higher-end dining experience, however it was not. Overall, unfortunately we would not return due to the mismatch between the price and the experience.
Had a near perfect meal last night. The special barramundi was beautifully presented and left room for a delicious baileys chocolate mousse. We come here every time we are on the Island at least twice a year. Anyway definitely recommend!
Great food and wonderful service, so much fun. Warm and inviting environment. Catered perfectly for gluten free, and Devine flavours. Ten out of ten
Firstly, I must say that the ambiance and service at the restaurant were commendable. We felt welcomed and the staff were very friendly throughout the evening.
Now, let's move on to the food. For our entrée, we ordered the saganaki, octopus, battered cauliflower, and calamari. The cauliflower stood out, as it was of top quality and accompanied by a delicious sauce. However, the calamari, although decent, were quite small in size and did not quite live up to their cost.
For our main meals, I opted for the grilled King Prawn, which was cooked to perfection and had a tender and juicy texture. On the other hand, my partner had the vegetarian moussaka, which was absolutely delicious and exquisite in taste.
However, we did feel that the salad portions could have been more generous, as they seemed quite small. It would be beneficial if the serving sizes were larger, as it would allow for sharing a meal with a companion.
On another note, we found the cost of the meals to be on the higher side. While we appreciate the quality of the ingredients and the overall dining experience, the prices may deter some potential customers.
Ending on a positive note, the galaktoboureko dessert we had was a perfect finish to our meal. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
Pub version of Greek food. Went here because of the good reviews from people who have obviously not eaten much Greek cuisine. Overpriced.
LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! This Restaurant
I Highly Recommend Anyone Who Wants To Eat & Dine!
Well Presented & Delicious Food!
Rudolf Makes You Feel Very Welcomed & Excellent Customer Service!
Thankyou & We Will Definately Be Back
Beautiful food with great service. Could not fault any of it. Our little ones were in a difficult mood and the staff made it as easy as possible for us to enjoy our meal. We will definitely be back
Thankyou!
These guys were happy to let us in even though it was quite late and a last minute booking. We had a very warm welcome from Rudolph. Not to mention that seafood platter which was so yummy. Hats off to the chefs. Thanks a lot Bani's team, we will definitely be back.
Came down to Phillip Island with a group of 5 of my girlfriends and we felt very very welcomed and looked after. Came at about 5pm on a Friday when it was seemingly quiet, we ordered a few dishes including the meat platter, saganaki, fried zucchini, vegan bowl and veg moussaka. We had a couple of girls with dietary requirements and staff was very helpful and accommodating. Restaurant became very busy shortly but staff still checked in with us throughout and even offered to help us take group photos. Ambience was super lively and we loved the food.
Meat platter was delicious and generous in portion - its designed for 2 but easily enough for 3. Ciders were also very refreshing and pleasant.
Experience overall was amazing! Highly recommend this restaurant for a dinner feed with big groups. Unfortunately we didn’t get the name of the main staff looking after us but the bloke was very jolly, funny and he also watches anime which is a huge +. Thank you guys for the amazing experience and dinner on the first night of our trip!
Loved this place! The food was absolutely delicious, everything was full of flavour and cooked perfectly. This was complimented by beautiful Greek wine, recommended to us by the fantastic staff, who were friendly and engaging. Our overall experience was wonderful, cannot reccomend this place enough!
This place was amazing, staff were top bloody notch. Seriously brilliant service. My daughter had a brief tantrum and the staff made funny faces at her and just made it an ace experience. Will be back.
Lamb is 10/10.
Waited 45+ minutes, Service was non-existent (no updates on the food, or apologies for the wait) - and was expensive for the quality of food (5-6/10). Table Water was warm. If you're going to do a 15% surcharge on a public holiday, try and provide a good service to your customers; otherwise, just close down for the day
Customer service was very good, staff is very respectful to customers, they loved to talk and start a conversation, would definitely come here again.
Bad bad bad bad bad run away from this place read Ant Dallz comment for more information happy new year folks
We went there for New years, and it was overpriced. The lamb was tough it felt like going five rounds with Mike Tyson, my jaw is now on the floor.
I ate two of their cauliflower (that was deep fried) the menu was misleading as it said “fried” but didn’t specify it was deep fried.a bit disappointing since i wanted a healthier option.after eating two of the four deep fried cauliflower balls i could not stomach any more and felt uncomfortably full despite being very hungry right before my meal came.after returning to my residence i threw up pretty hard.would not recommend.
Service was very slow, waitress very rude
There is not much variety on there menu, portion size are like kids meals
For the price it is not worth it at all.
Incredible food (even better than my Greek mother in laws!). For a Monday night, I was blown away with the service by both of the gentlemen. Very attentive. Our drinks were never empty and they were always offering great suggestions from the menu as well as a few sneaky taste tests from the bar! A perfect end to a weekend long birthday celebration!
Just had a wonderful dinner at Bani’s. Monday June 6 for my daughter’s birthday. Staff were lovely, we had great interaction with them both. The food was excellent, couldn’t fault it.
