My husband and I chose the BalloonMan to celebrate our wedding aanniversary. It was a wonderful experience! Everything from booking the tickets to picking us up to dropping us off at the Grand Hyatt for a delicious breakfast was handled with uttermost care and professionalism. Chris is a great pilot and has so much experience in flying hot air balloons, I would give him and our whole experience a 10/10. Highly recommend this experience!

Chris and the team are truly awsome, helpful and accommodating. We had a fantastic time with what i believe to be the best views of Melbourne. No mess. No stress. Loads of fun.
We got to be apart of the whole ballooning experience by helping and being included in set up and pack up.
Brekky is a must.
With a lesson in ballooning history the experience was complete.

Our balloon trip was a gift so we had not done any research. Fortunately the givers must have done theirs. Our Balloon Man experience was a brilliant way to start the day. Professional and detailed. The experience of the pilot and the included value (luxe brekky, video and awesome photos etc) made it easy to recommend. A wonderful bucket list adventure. Do it!

Amazing ride this morning over the city. Helping to put the balloon up and pack it away made the experience all the better. It really felt like a team activity and I learnt a lot about how it all worked. 100% would recommend to anyone.

What an amazing experience! Both Chris and Chris were wonderful! From start to finish, I couldn't fault anything! Punctual, lovely conversation, answered all questions, got us all involved in setting up and packing up! Wonderful pictures and video of the morning! All topped off with an amazing breakfast! BallonMan is Great! Fair dinkum guys. On time. Fantastic flight. An absolutely worry free morning with everything organised for you. We also got involved in setting up as well as packing to the balloon, which was so much fun! The breakfast Art he Hyatt is also a must, great to finish off the morning on a relaxed and yummy way. We even get a video plus flight route statistics AND photos.

Fantastic experience with lots of added extras at no extra charge! Chris our pilot was fantastic helping us to take the most perfect panoramic photos plus bonus free group photos and a video of our experience we loved every minute!

This is the second balloon trip I’ve done and I’m so glad I did it with this company 100 times better. Loved all the personal touches thanks for making a cloudy Melbourne day so beautiful.

Flight was absolutely amazing, defiantly worth it.but the customer service received was very poor, our pilot 'Chris' was an absolute knob head and couldn't of possibly been more arrogant.when we landed we were forced to help pack up whilst seeing the other balloon company land near us and they didn't have to clean up at all it was all done for them.if your looking for a knob to fly with 'Chris' is your guy!
would recommend to do but with a different company

Although all the balloon companies appear to be independent, they all do seem to cooperate with each other. They fly from the same launch area, at the same time, are in constant radio contact with each other and land at the same landing site.

Therefore, I would have assumed the actual flying experience would be nearly identical

We arrived at the launch site first and a helium balloon was set off to check wind direction. Once all the other balloons had arrived they all went through to a secondary field behind some trees, whilst we had the first field to ourselves

Although we were last through the gate, due to being so well organised, we were first to be inflated and ready to launch.

The other balloons started to appear through the trees, and from our isolated position seemed very close together. As they launched the basket of one it certainly seemed to bump into the envelope of one of the balloons still on the ground. I was relieved we had a field to ourselves.

We launched last, and drifted slowly across the city and watched the sun rise. An amazing experience.

As we were last to launch we were last to land. The target appeared to be the far corner of a large oval field where all the various companies vans were waiting.

The balloons ahead of us, seemed to land extremely close to trees (although it may have been the angle we were at), though our pilot chose to skilfully and sensibly land in the centre of the field (in a seemingly perfect touch down), then one of the crew walked us in.

With the Balloonman we felt safe at all times, he is obviously a highly experienced pilot who takes pride in his work, and as promised provides high quality photos and video (which he is obviously very proud off) included in the price…

…just don’t expect a big welcome at the pickup (Ours was, “you can sit on the bus if you want, but we aren’t going anywhere for 20 minutes”) … oh yes, and make sure you follow the exact instructions on how to reconfirm the flight details (which could be simplified via a flight status answer machine/website), or you might get, what some may say, a slightly sarcastic reply!

We were certainly glad we chose the Balloonman. Highly recommended.

It has always been a dream to fly on a hot air balloon and for my birthday the dream came true. It was an amazing experience to fly with Chris, who not only has a gorgeous balloon but
also knows how to masterfully ride the wind, creating the smoothest glide over the gorgeous city of Melbourne.
My favorite part was flying low to the ground, seeing the sun rise and the whole city awakening, and waving at people who always wave back excitedly. A really fun (and safe) experience
that is totally worth indulging in. Chris, you're awesome!
