Ballarat Golf Club

Well, what a fabulous experience this was. A large group of us had a meal at the Ballarat Golf Club Bistro at 1800 Sturt St, Alfredton. I found the service at this high volume bistro just outstanding. The servers were friendly, welcoming, and prompt and all of their tasks were carried out with a smile. I had the Crispy Beef Stir-fry with a side of garlic bread. The meal was just sensational. I was also very impressed the speed from order to delivery of our meals considering the number of people we had. It looks like you can dine inside or out. The view of the golf course through the large full-length windows from the bistro adds whole other level of luxe to the dining experience. Most enjoyable. Well done team!

Maintained above standard. All holes are interesting and enjoyable. Somewhat forgiving, within reason. Bloody cold in May!

The course is a great layout, and has the potential to eat you up. So treat it with respect. The greens are quick and honest. The whole facility is just beautiful The staff from the President to the workers on the course so very nice and helpful and do a great day. The hospitality staff are the most pleasant smiling people around, just so great. The pro shop staff go out of their way to assist Just love the place and the people. A must visit if you love golf and somthing to eat or drink after. Just the best golf club I think I have visited

Beautiful meal. Lovely staff but air-conditioning very cold. Next time I will take a jacket to wear inside.

Amazing location, great views. Ample room to move and great seating. Very friendly staff and great service. It's clean and tidy. Plenty of parking too. The menu is simple, great choices. Every plate that passed the table looked delicious. I'd highly recommend the ribs.

Great course. Fairways are beautiful. Greens fast. Some water to carry and deep bunkers. Great bistro area for a beer after the game

I was here for a dinner, so the menu was set. Each course was tasty! I've been going here for a few years, I think the standard of the food has improved in that time.

Nice golf course with undulating fairways. Proshop staff is helpful. Nice practice range and chipping practice area.

A great experience. My husband and I both had the garlic prawns with rice which was delicious. Luckily we had a table near the window which gave us a fabulous view if the golf course. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Highly recommended. Much improved menu. Steak was amazing. Very friendly and helpful waiting staff will definitely become regulars.

Meal was OK, menu seemed expensive though for a club meal and the 5 cappuccinos ordered all came out cold.
Service was good though.

I’m so happy the food wasn’t microwaved, real ones will know what’s up. Got ripped off at the Midlands golf club with my food. 10/10

Terrible food. There were 6 of us and not one good meal. No dressing on 2 caesar salads with overcooked chicken, ordered pork belly and received pork ribs, and undercooked mussels.

Won't be going here again.

Disappointed by experience and staff response. Simple issue completely brick-walled. Cannot comment on course as didn't and won't be playing again.

Course in great condition, challenging and very well priced. Clubhouse is very good and the service from staff in the pro shop and clubhouse was excellent.
Will definitely be returning.

Busy on a weekend was only just able to get a table probably best if you book a table. Food was really nice I would recommend the curry dish price was reasonably gòod.

I had fish chips and salad I enjoyed every bite my husband had chicken snitzle and he didn't like the crumbs on the chicken

Went here for lunch on a Tuesday. Huge, comfortable dining room.
Steak was tender, service good. Lovely view.
