Good truck, stop. Stopped here for a sleep and a meal with the hubby. He rested up for a bit while i chilled here. Lovely ladies behind the counter.

I stopped for the outside jams and sauces so I can't comment on the food service or atmosphere. Outside on the weekends the jam guy sells speciality sauces and jams, including bacon jam a best seller. Brilliant

Place is getting old. Some areas have had a refurb. Food ok. Tonight, apron/carpark and EV charge bays all under water. Hope the fuel tanks are ok.

We have generally see stopped going to any Roadhouse on the Hume as they are all very average. This is now run by Indians. Very little idea of customer service, bathrooms not clean.

Good feed value for money I think just only thing I could pick maybe the snags could be cooked little longer other then that great feed and coffee was good too. Staff are friendly I recommend if you wanna good feed big menu And run 24hrs

Friendly efficient service. Clean toilets. Chips weren't much, that's all we tried

A great little rest stop with very tasty food and very welcoming staff. Chips are crisp and hot with the most excellent chicken salt. Steak sandwich loaded with lot is perfection.

We've been stopping here for burgers for 25 years or more and have seen the quality ebb and flow. The current burgers are the best burgers we've had, possibly ever! Anywhere. Unprompted, my wife said "This burger (the Lot no egg) is definitely a 9! " "What would make it a 10? " I asked, and we agreed that the disappointment of finding perfection was the only thing between this burger and a perfect score. And 3/5 for atmosphere because, well, it's a roadhouse. What do you expect! Congrats to the current managers, long may they stay. Oh, and the hot chips were great too.

Friendly place but the entire complex needs a revamp and a push into the 21st Century - and it’s about time this place got a fast food restaurant too like Carl’s Juniors or Hungry Jacks as they’re far and few between them directly on the Hume Highway in this area. The inside cafe is nice but together with a choice for a fast food restaurant would be great too. Wouldn’t be bad for #woolworths to hop on in with a METRO store as part of the revamp

This place is an absolute disgrace. Give it a miss and keep going to Seymour or Euroa. I stopped for breakfast at 6: 45 am. I wanted baked beans and bacon on toast. They had menu boards suggesting all manner of fare was available or could
Be cooked. I stood for ten minutes, in front of the till with a guy 1 metre from the till making two coffees. He didn’t even look at me or acknowledge me. After ten minutes of waiting I noticed the kitchen was quiet and empty. By now a queue of about 8 people were behind me. I asked the guy if he was song there. I then said “so you’re not going to be able to cook a breakfast for me are you? ” Without looking at me, he shook his head “no. ” I was ropable and don’t normally swear at all but walked away delivering an expletive laden tirade.

Absolutely disgraceful and a place
I will never ever ever stop at again. The absolute worst diner in the Soithern Hemisphere (and I only say that because I’m sure there worse in the US, but maybe, just maybe, this is the worst diner on earth which makes it the worst in the Universe because diners are an earth phenomena I’m sure.

Great spot to stop on your way down the Hume, While they have good truckers meals, i have a soft spot for the Sandwitch rolls in the front cabinet. Good knot rolls filled up with fresh produce and probably refilled a few times a day. 10/10

Always seems pretty busy. Good service with plenty of food in the bain marie for a quick snack and cook out back for more substantial fresh meals. Ample seating inside and outside. Has shower facilities if you ask for a key (mainly for truckies) and bathrooms cleaned regularly.
Best place to stop on Hume in central Victoria!

Stop over on my way to Chiltern- Willuna Sanctuary. And we found some great food, rake away, soft drinks. Perfect?

Best taste burgers. Beautiful. Highly recommended. Service, quality, freshness, price. 10/10 to the cook

Great food but oh so slow.

There used to be a sense that orders should be provided in a reasonable time, but with a few other people there we waited half an hour for a burger. Definitely go for something out of the bain-marie otherwise you might be stuck here a while!

Stopped at the Avenel Roadhouse and had the chicken schnitzel burger with the lot. Up there with the best burger I have ever had! Friendly staff. Highly recommend.

This servo is has a pretty good diner. Stop here if your over the fast food chains. Proper food here

Stopped here only to get a coffee and go to the toilet but due to me being tired was told if I'd like to have a nap in the massage chair to do so. I really did need that nap and was so grateful to be looked out for. The service and care of this place is like no other. Coffee was great also.

Petrol too expensive, but same as everywhere. Service in the restaurant (lose term for what is really just an eat in option for take away food) was slow on my two stops here in the last 3 days. Really slow and on the first day surly and unfriendly. Dirty shop with dirty bainmaree. Bought an iced coffee that had spilled stuff all over the bottle I got from the fridges and this also occurred on both visits. Had to wadh then under a tap. I nearly put it back. Not a nice experience and could have put off buying but then would have to get off the freeway and travel further to get a better option elsewhere. This place has deteriorated over the recent past and I will find alternatives in future.

What a pleasant surprise! Stopped 4 gas, walked in & around only 2 find macca's & more! Friendly staff, great food & service
