Aura on Flinders

This hotel is disgusting! I had a male receptionist come in to my apartment at 2 in the morning while my partner were asleep and not wearing clothes he then proceeded to come in to our bedroom open the door then start yelling at us because a girl had asked to be let in to our room. We never asked for this person to be here but he kept yelling no visitors during covid. Like mate we were asleep with no clothes on in bed but we are some how inviting people over? It’s disgusting after we had made a complaint they had told people our personal business then had told us we need to leave for no reason after just paying more money for the place to stay longer. Please do not come here it is disgraceful. Also the Karen at the counter well “Catherine” needs to learn some f’ing respect. She is so inhumane and shouldn’t be allowed to work in a community with the way she is!

Took my money for no reason, I tried ringing them and sorting things out but they were very rude. They took 200 without me realising until I got back home

Me and my partner booked through air bnb and our host and the apartment were lovely, we enjoyed our stay until the second night. The male manager of the apartments was extremely unprofessional and rude. I had my keys taken off me and the rest of my stay cancelled for getting off on the wrong level. The manager didn’t try to communicate at all, he was just impolite, arrogant and very condescending.
The front staff though were very kind, helpful and professional.
Would’ve stayed again but will not return due to such poor management.
Disappointing.

When we checked in we were upgraded to a 2 brm 2 bathroom unit. When we got to our room, as soon as we opened our door, the room stunk of stale cigarette smoke. It was disgusting. We went back to reception and requested another room due to the smelly room we were given. The receptionist didn't apologise. We were given another room which had wonderful views and was quite comfy and clean. Our room didn't have a drier but had a washing machine. It would have been great if we had a toaster also. I would have assumed there would have been one as it did have a kitchen. The round dining table was very wobbly and the glass top was movable.
Even though we had these few issues, we had a great time.

We were stalked out and attempted assult, robbery with a drugging 2 twice over 12 hours.

The staff were unhelpful and also driving rude.

You'd think if they had people stalking guests they'd help us ha.

Nope instead threatened legal action.

Staff was very rude, they kept coming up to our room after a noise complaint from watching the horse races and they continuously barged into the room without knocking to see if anyone is making noise after we quieted down and were sitting in complete silence so they wouldn’t come in again. Not to mention they took away our bond after coming in the second time after we were being quiet.would never go again and definitely wouldn’t recommend!

Amazing location, so close to flinders station and crown casino and a short walk from the CBD. Price was cheapest I’ve ever come across for a Friday night in Melbourne, will definitely be back!

Was happy with everything until now. Its been more than 10 days i haven't got my security deposit back
The reception said it will take 3days only
I called last night they said its been processed 3 days ago (19th) a full week after my stay

Worst place ever don’t waste your money coming here hair on pillows blankets used and just chucked in the storage area! Disgusting! Save ya money!

It was only ok. Had everything we needed, clean but tired. The 'furnished' balcony was very narrow and the furnishings consisted of 2 rickety folding chairs and small table. Almost standing room for 2 only. Roim smelled very smokey.

We booked a place at Empire Apartment. A few days before the trip they told us they needed to move us to this place and we didn’t have a choice. Lights broken, unclean place, rooms have no locks, rooms are nothing like the picture. The day we moved out they said everything is fine and they will return the $400 bond. One week later they haven’t returned the bond. When you call up they hung up on you.

Staff were lovely, great location super close to everything and really good views from our room:)

We had a good experience all in all at Aura.
We did find it difficult to find, it is located on a one way street, we had to go around the block a few times to find out where & how to get in. Once we found the street & the place, the directions to the paid parking weren't very clear, both in the email & when I called to clarify. The guy at reception found it difficult to articulate.
Once we were all checked in, our room still wasn't ready, however they upgraded us to make up for the 20 min wait.
The room was on the 24th floor with absolutely incredible views!
We were really happy with the room, was clean & tidy, the only negative of our stay apart from the inital getting there & getting checked in, was the only one roll of toilet paper provided, would be great to have an extra roll of toilet paper, we had to ask at reception for more.
Other than that we had an amazing stay, very comfortable.

Liam provided exceptional service, allowed us to store our bikes during the day and we were able to purchase parking close by. The apartment was clean and very affordable! We had a Great stay at the Aura

Room is dirty and needs a lot of maintenance for what we paid! Not impressed and far from happy!

Stayed for a friends birthday. We got 2 rooms next to eachother. Both had x2 Queen beds I believe on L7. Balcony views quite sweet. Could see the Billboard with a bar behind it. Sealife across the road and 2 or 3 Crown Casino Fire displays. Even from across the river - you could feel their heat. It was actually nice.
The room itself was clean enough. I couldn't fault it. The kitchen is set up so if you like cooking or wanting to make breakfast in the morning, its very easy to do. I made us an amazing platter to share. There was a dishwasher, washing machine, iron, hairdryer. The fridge and freezer were clean. Would have been better to have aircon for each room and not just in the lounge/dining area, can imagine it may get hot in there. There were fresh towels but not enough for extras. Had to use a handtowel as a kitchen towel. Only 2 toilet rolls - that definitely not enough and asking for more is just annoying. Its small and neat and Id say a great central place to stay if you wanted to see the NYE Fireworks. We imagined it would be the perfect location for that. I think, good for a short stay or a longer one. Has everything you need. Parking was offsite and in my books having a pool would have made this place exceptional but that just my preference.
Attended reception makes you feel more secure and check in and out was easy!
Would I go back? Definitely. For NYE, a short stay for an event thats on in the city or for a bday with your closest, why not.

Excellent apartments, my husband and son booked here very last minute due to my son having to go to the dental hospital. From the first phone call with Leon and then the staff- they were so fantastic and helped us immensely! Thanks so much. Great comfortable rooms and the best staff ever!

Very dirty, smelly and bad costumer service. Avoid staying here.
They gave me the keys and I went inside and even the bedsheets was dirty from the previous people.
Paid for 2 bedroom apartment and they took me to one bedroom and the second bedroom was locked and they didn't giving me the keys.
I took my bags and went novotel which is one of the best.
Avoid them

Clean but staff need to not invade your privacy and if they knock and you don't answer then don't just come into room. Cos like people shower and it's not hard to call the room telephone or wait! Appalling

If you’re visiting I’d recommend staying here, very good location and customer service. The young Gentleman at the front are very professional and polite. The rooms have got phenomenal views and styled nicely, very modern.
