Albert & Co - Coffee Food Catering

5 of us had lunch there few weeks ago. We ordered fish n chips, burgers and salad dishes. The fish’s colour was brown and over cooked. The Burger patty was very dry. It looked like that was reheated. Beef brisket as a side dish was horrible. The fried spring onion on the top of the brisket was bitter. The display of the dish looked terrible. Wouldn’t go there again.

A really beautiful space with food to match - everything about the fish and chips was light and crispy with lovely housemade tartare, the gnocchi was feather-light and the Buddha bowl wholesome and filling. An absolute lakes entrance must!

Came for breakfast waited over an hour for our meals only to have given to someone else. When this was rectified after another long wait they were once again taken to wrong table. When we said something the waitress got annoyed at us (Yes really) and walked away shaking her head. Didn't even bother to ask us if we wanted another coffee. Would not eat here again. Food was ok my husband couldn't fault what he had.

Ate the Butter chicken, garlic roti, coconut rice combo and a side of tempura vegetables. Good flavour on the butter chicken but not as good as many others I have had. Highlight was the crispiness of the tempura. Unfortunately was let down by the size of the coconut rice and the roti. Roti was just the worst, tough and just bad.

Highly recommend this place. Very friendly people and the food is excellent We were served by Kim for our breakfast on the day. We sat near to the kitchen and every meal that came by us looked fabulous.

Fabulous meals, service and staff! Took special care in making sure I received food that is suitable for the coeliac diet! Will definitely be back

Visiting Albert & Co for breakfast at Lakes Entrance on a Sunday was the high point of our day. Surprisingly they were the only place serving a full menu throughout the day.

Just stopped by for coffee but still quite nice! Shop is quite classy and modern. It feels very open and relaxing. Would have really liked to try some cakes or scones as they looked great.

Very friendly staffs, great asmosphere inside, variety of sweets, great taste coffee. Highly recommended.

Their breakfast menu is the best, and their cake selection is mouth watering. I love having my ginger tea brought to me in a heavy teapot too.

Service was extremely slow. Yes they were busy but lack of attention from staff from the moment we walked in. Coffee wasn’t very nice tasted more like warm milk. Ordered kids stack of pancakes and the smashed avo on toast. Waited 45 mins and when it arrived the pancakes were not a stack as listed on the menu it was one thick pancake which was quite burnt on both sides. The smashed avo was less than average it was very runny with way too much lemon.so much so that it overtook everything else on the plate. Added tomato and mushrooms which was a waste of money because the amount of each was not enough for one slice of toast let alone two. The toast was cooked to perfection and the fresh herbs were a nice touch but unfortunately that is the only positive thing I have to say. Very underwhelmed and disappointed overall with our experience.

The food here is awesome. Fresh and creative. The atmosphere is clean and crisp. Lots of natural night in the morning and day time with big windows. And good sights of the sunset even from inside and away from the beach. The set menu is the same for breakfast and lunch but has enough items on it to last you multiple days. Their breakfast were my favourite. And the coffees are fantastic. The only time I was able to heat there for dinner was on their pasta night. It is a build your own style menu with a glass of wine included. Again the dishes were great. I would highly recommend stopping here her for any meal.

Great coffee, with lactose free option. The breakfast menu offers european and australian style options and the food is delicious. Some gluten free option as well.

Really beautiful restaurant however the dreadful attitude of one waitress ruined the entire experience.

First we asked if they had mango juice (our sons favourite) and instead of simply saying “no, sorry we don’t have that” she invested a huge amount of energy into explaining to us that you can’t make mango juice and how stupid we must be to not understand that.

Second we asked if we could get the special Canadian pancakes with eggs but we made the big mistake of asking if they could leave the eggs off - again, simply could have said “sorry, we don’t do alterations to the menu” - nope, a full explanation of how our request was completely unreasonable and totally unacceptable.

Lastly, some of our order never arrived but by this stage we were so over dealing with her attitude we weren’t going to follow it up.

My order was wrong & don't believe l was actually heard. Food was taken from another plate to fill my actual order.

One of the nicest eating places in east Gippsland, a place you should try once as I am sure you will be an instant regular, nothing at all negative to say in any area.

New menu is VERY disappointing. Left cafe hungry and disappointed. Coleslaw bitter, my meal was two huge chunks of bread and virtually no hummus plus a few slices of under ripe tomato. Never again
