I've had nothing but a great experience when dealing with Alan Mance Holden. Ahmad was a pleasure to deal with, he was honest, upfront and very knowledgeable and experienced in what he does. I've been dealing with Alan Mance for quite a number of years. 30 years to be exact and have found them to be a great dealership and I've been very happy with the cars Ive bought there.

I own a 02 VX SS EX POLICE CAR l Had air conditioner re gased. THE BIG YOUNG BLOKE at front SERVICE DESK WAS great in service section.he only one that cared re my car.upon picking it up i inspected my car for damage.whilst there i found five big greasy hand prints on the front of my car. DEPENDING ON WHICH GREASE OR FLUID PEOPLE UNDERSTAND PAINT CAN BE DAMAGED BY THESE SUBSTANCES BECAUSE OF A LAZY MECHANIC.there mechanic that worked on mine obviously didnt use magnetic mats that sum workshops provided, used to protect sides of car around the engine bay area to protect panels.sum mechanics at other workshops use latex gloves obviously this one individual DID NOT.its sad how he could not show respect for another mans pride! I keep my car in good condition.i just washed it including the engine bay the day before it went to them

Would give a negative star if I could! If the Manager called me back I never would have wrote this review! I had my vehicle serviced last Friday while I was down from Sydney for my grandmothers funeral. I mentioned to the lady on the phone im an ex Holden technician and I've had nothing but issues with service centres not doing services properly. I arrived at Alan Mance on Friday at 7am although my service was booked at 7: 50am. My car went in at 7: 40am for the service and I explained I was waiting for the vehicle. 3 and a half hours later I asked if my vehicle was finished to be aggressively told that "our technicians start at 8am". Being 11: 30 the car should had been washed and well and truly completed as it wasn't a major service. I finally received my car back at 12: 20pm not washed. I also noticed the wheels weren't rotated nor pulled off to inspect my rear brake drums. Hand brake wasn't adjusted. Coolant still looks old and not drained and replaced. I complained to the lady and asked to speak to the manager. Still waiting a week later and no call from the manager but they were happy to take my money! Do not book your car in here as they're money hungry and don't care about your vehicles. Absolutely disgusting! And for the manager, get a new job because you're not a managers boot lace.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE (ESPECIALLY IF YOU’RE FEMALE) - WORST HOLDEN TO DEAL WITH & HOLDEN CUSTOMER CARE IS NO BETTER!
Nonstop issues with the vehicle since point of purchase 2018 (NOTE: this is the 2nd Barina I have owned and it was a replacement of the first lemon).
* Warranty issues repeatedly refused to be repaired under warranty, had to argue every single issue with both vehicles before they were accepted.
* Refusal to repair items that are well documented known issues/faults, some of which were already previously repaired under warranty, citing there was no warranty on the vehicle for years (because they didn’t actually even look).
* Multiple prices quoted for repairs and parts by different team members, sometimes quoted in excess of $1000, then dropping to $200 when pressed on why and for what, especially considering previous warranty issues and reports.
* Refusal to provide copies of Warranty documents since point of purchase, despite warranty and extended warranty being part of the vehicle purchase from Holden Footscray.
* Refusal to provide a full copy of service and repair history since first requested a year ago and then after MULTIPLE requests via email over the last 6 months.
* 2 PAID repairs for leaking coolant issue when the coolant is STILL LEAKING and was immediate after BOTH REPAIRS (it never stopped and is apparently a known issue according to multiple people I’ve been in contact with).
* CONSTANT reporting of known issue with transmission, gears holding, vehicle revving, shuddering, issues with coil packs where it’s like the car is going to stall and significant vibrating dismissed (citing could not replicate but without test driving) and on several occasions not even test driven as they advised, as KM on vehicle had only changed to the next KM when collected (photographed). ISSUES STILL PRESENT
* Not including all reported issues in the service/document and just ignoring me when I asked for them to be added/amended.
* Patronised and spoken to by male staff like I’m an incompetent and don’t have a clue about the lemon of a vehicle I purchased.
*Written confirmation regarding items reported in warranty not accepted.
* Reimbursement for vehicle hire not accepted, despite the fact that I have a disability and am unable to walk and Holden said I could not drive the vehicle because of a known fault with the mount that was under warranty.
* Repeated refusal by Holden Customer Service to respond to each item with reasoning, citing a blanket no for all issues (not even aware of one of them).
I HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH THIS NON-STOP SINCE MY FIRST HOLDEN 1ER4XW AND ITS BEEN NEVER ENDING, NOW IM TAKING THIS TO VCAT! Thank god there are no more Holdens but maybe consider taking your vehicle elsewhere to get serviced!

Nick made the experience of buying a new car easy. He was not pushy in fact the opposite. He was easy going, friendly and knowledgeable And went above and beyond to ensure that my car was ready ASAP. Definitely recommend

I was assisted by Josh and Mark with issues regarding my Holden vehicle recently and both went above and beyond to explain and assist me with the issue presented. They were very friendly and knowledgeable and explained my options in detail. I was extremely happy with their service and recommendations.

Just a warning for anyone who has a warranty on their Holden. Don't take your car here if something is wrong.

After taking my car back and fourth 3 times and having pretty ordinary service the last time I got my car back it still wasn't fixed but also had incurred a further problem as it overheated on my way home and I had to stop driving.

Rang and spoke to Mark the service manager who couldn't have given me worse service if he tried. The most disappointing thing is that he wouldn't take blame and not once did I get an apology! Couldn't have cared less and told me that their own customers come first, that mine was only a warranty job and Holden don't pay them enough to do it. The confusing part to this is that they advertise "warranty" on their website.

In the end we got in contact with the owner Phil who was extremely helpful, apologised and had the problem fixed. If only his staff were as good as him.

So, if you have a Holden that needs something fixed and is under warranty it might be best to take it to a different dealer.

Very happy with my used car purchase with Ahmed at Alan Mance. The whole process including the trade in of my car was very simple and quick. And being in regional Victoria I was even more impressed that I had my vehicle within a week of my first enquiry.

Took my ldv in today was having issues engine light coming on and vehicle going into limp mode their professional staff fixed the issue with system upgrade run like a dream again service staff very helpful and friendly excellent customer service thank you

Trying to support local business, but their phone system for parts couldn't be found. Turned up to site to find that parts doesn't open. Disappointed, going elsewhere.

Went yesterday, with husband, very good service, efficient, have the parts we needed, always serviced the car, there.because the dealer, the Holden dealer, in Hoppers Crossing, IS A DISASTER, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, after keeping the car, for more the 1 hour, (have to leave the premises, with very ugly weather) call saying, didn't have the part I needed, and will have to wait, for weeks! Didn't bother, calling other dealer, or try to help.good luck to him BALLAN HOLDEN!

Very friendly, experienced staff and only to ready to assist with any enquiry asked of them. I must say I was very impressed with their promptness at receiving and attending all the cars that came in for a service and/or a recall issue. We'll done guys. Please keep up the good work

Bad customer services.
Bad workmanship.
Overpriced.
Stop taken my car here and found another Holden place half the price.
Saving slot of money, glad I moved to another Holden.
Please guys call other holdens, u be surprised of the price difference.
