Afghan Village Restaurant

Our experience at Afghan Village was phenomenal! Pasha was such a lovely waiter and provided such tailored and caring service for my family as we celebrated a birthday. He truly cared about providing the best for what we needed, including catering to elderly parents and a baby, and even gave a gift to my sister who's birthday it was from the restaurant. The food was fantastic, very authentic and tasted delicious with Pasha's recommendations of dishes. Would highly recommend for any occasion!

I had to cancel a booking for eight people twice due to my elderly parents being unwell, two weeks prior to Christmas. Pasha was incredibly understanding and compassionate. He cared more about my parents’ health than losing a reservation for eight at such short notice. What a legend. I’ve been to Afghan Village and love the food but his compassion was above and beyond. Do yourself a favour and try this restaurant. You won’t be disappointed. We will be back!

Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant in Camberwell. The service is unmatched. The staff truly cares about your experience. The food is absolutely amazing – everything we tasted melted in our mouths. Highly recommend!

We love everything about Afghan Village from the amazing food, wine list, cosy table by the window for two (of course there are larger tables for bigger groups) and the amazing service from the ever attentive staff. We cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough and can guarantee you will have a memorable and very pleasant evening.

Pre-ordered food for a 7-730pm arrival. The order kept being pushed back but we thought 'it's post lockdown must be busy" and we didn't want to be pushy. It got to 8.05pm and suddenly the order was completely and unexpectedly cancelled. Won't be ordering from here again.

As a picky eater, I’m surprised to find that I like every dish that I’ve tried so far. And yes, I’ve had almost the entire menu - I’ve eaten here that many times At one point I even bought a whole head of cauliflower and (unsuccessfully) tried to recreate their cauliflower korma. Guess I’ll keep coming back for more!

We got takeaway from here during lockdown and the food was so delicious. The service was great and the kabuli palau was so tasty! Would highly recommend.

After years of driving past and always wanting to try it, I finally did and wasn’t disappointed! Lamb back strap kebab was beautifully cooked and the chicken korma deliciously spiced and seasoned. Highly recommend!

Had the most wonderful dinner. The mixed grill, Kabuli Palau and sheerpera were delicious. Best of all the service was outstanding. The waiter created a wonderful experience. Definitely coming back.

Amazing authentic food.service was spectacular, the waiter with curly hair was absolutely outstanding gave me an extra knife when i dropped mine.

Pasha and the team are exceptional. The food is delicious and comforting. Loads of choice for gluten free, Vegan and vegetarian guests. It certainly is one of our favourite Camberwell restaurants.

We had a most enjoyable dining experience last night at the Afghan Village. The food was delicious, the service was delivered in a pleasant manner and the room itself had a nice atmosphere. We'll be back!

Great little restaurant, cosy atmosphere, and excellent friendly staff. Felt right at home, and the food was good too. No complaints.

Quite and cozy place.
Nice customer service.
Good variety on the menu, with a variety of “indian” style like chicken korma or butter chicken.
I suggest to try the meat and kebab, they are astonishing, soft and tender.
You must try the tortellini as entree, they are exquisite. And at the end the baklava is a regular dessert for us, it’s soo good! Enjoy
