Afghan Star Restaurant

The Afghan chicken kebab is always made of thigh fillet which makes it juicy and tender (I've had it for 10 years) but these guys use breast fillet instead possibly to save cost? The result is a kebab that is hard to chew. Please use thigh only!

Ordered combo deal 5 on door dash few days ago. Came with 2 pizzas 2 garlic breads and 2L drink. Both garlic breads had fungus on it. This is not the first time, every time their garlic bread was old and had fungus on it. They give you a random drink instead of what you chose.

Cheap food, dingy, kinda quiet place. Has the makings of a restaurant that I like however I was dissapointed.
Lamb qorma wasn't bad, came with sour cream, small salad and bread. No complains here, not bad not great.
The real dissapointment was in the chicken, totally overcooked, burnt, and dryer than Uluru.
Service good no card payments, though have bank transfer option.
Wanted to try Mantu but have finished for the day.

0 Star for rude attitude and zero attention to customers
1 star for ambiance
1 star for raw food especially tikka
Only giving 2 stars for their bread.

The Lam Qorna with bread was amazing
I recommend it, it's tenderness just melts in your mouth.

The best pizza and food place in the western suburbs. Please if you miss it you will regret it. Do visit when you get a chance. The best in sunshine

Halal Pizza, good range of pizzas but alot of flies being zapped in bugzapper which drop to the floor.

Worthlese, tasteless food. Spent 15 dollars On Paya.
Was tastless like Boiled. I dont know why people give it even one star.

Fresh food but poor customer service, gave an honest humble feedback and staff was rude. Abbas need to learn manners and customer service.

One of the better afghan places in the area but prices have been increased a lot lately. And such a pity the mixed grill does not include rice anymore.

Cheap eats and taste so damn good. We have been there every week for the last one month. We ordered the mixed grilled and share the bread.

I had lunch here recently and would say the food wasn’t too bad. I ordered a mix kebab (Shami, Shish, Chicken) and felt that the food didn’t quite hit the mark.

The Afghan bread was quite fresh and tasty and the serving size was generous for the price. The restaurant is also quite clean when compared to neighbouring Persian/Afghan restaurants.

Mantu and lamp qorma unbelievable! Truly recommend. Lovely staff to talk you through the menu if you don't know what anything is.

After the first visit, this place has straight away becoming our go to kebab place. Aside from the great taste, their portion and variety is just what you would like to find in an afghan food. Curry, kebab, mixed doner just to name a few. Their portion is very generous and their wait staff is attentive and friendly.

If you do not worry about having a meal in a fancy fitout and flashy store. This place is definitely recommended for a quick Afghan fix for with a homey experience and taste.

I am one of their regular customer. Fan of their mixed kebab meal. Typical afghan tikka flavour, each time. Roti adds more value to the dish and taste. You can't go wrong with $15 meal which includes two skewers of chicken tikka, one skewer lamb tikka, once kebab mince kebab, reasonable quantity of rice, one big roti, raita and salad. Happy to be their customer.

A+ Been trying multiple Afghan restaurants and this is BY FAR the best in Melbourne, great pricing and generous meal serving!
