Afghan Marcopolo Restaurant

I love this restaurant, the food is beautiful, the dips are so yummy and the chicken biryani is perfect. Great friendly staff and a fabulous wine list. Will return especially for the desserts

I was impressed with this place. The service was friendly. Staff were readily available to help. Great selection of food items. Prepared well. Just the right amount of food was served. The décor is great. Every corner of the place has an artefact relating to Afghanistan or neighbouring countries, which is bound to be a conversation starter. Nice area.

This is some absolutely amazing Food with some exceptional service. The night 6 of us went for dinner the young girl who works there as the server and she really goes out of her way to help get you anything you need. Due to this and one other store in Mt Eliza being the only two places with this kind of food served in the entire City District. This is a really amazing authentic quality of Afghan food!

Whilst food was ok, staff seemed rushed with one waitress almost jogging and a waiter rudely rising his voice telling others to attend to tables. That waiter however approached me and my partner and apologised for the tight squeeze of the table arrangement but walked away from our dirty plates, leaving them for another waitress to clean up. It seems he should have been the one being yelled at to help out.

Everytime I have been in this year, the place has been understaffed and I have had to wait at least 45min for my main course.
I would have to say that I have been a regular of yours for quite sometime now, but everytime I enter the restaurant there is a new team of staff, What's going on? !
The last time I came in there have found a few hairs throughout my food and I made the waiter aware of this however, it was completely disregarded. If it weren't just for the hairs the salt makes these kebabs unbearable.
At least one of your waiter's (with a nose ring) was quick to jump on coffee and desserts or else we would've been stuck in your restaurant until god knows what hour.
Please fix these issues or I unfortunately will not return. It was a great place when it was in Frankston, however seems to have gone downhill. Would love to see this place thrive again.
My one suggestion, hire more staff, they are the one's looking after your customers who pay your income.
And perhaps hair nets are in order? I would love to come back and eat there again, but this time, maybe hold off on the side of hair.

Delicious food a great selection of vegetarian and meats with taditional Rice's byo and licensed

Really good food and lovely service! Manto and fried eggplant were beautiful. Meat skewer, kofta and vegetarian skewers were really well cooked and tasty. Will be back for sure!

Special mention to Zahid, this place is an absolute delite from the second you step in, it has the feels of Kabul with the decor. The food was perfect upto the standard and flavour we expected. For a more personal kabul touch do sit in the back of restaurant which gives a more traditional feel to your meal. We left happy customers who would surely return InshaAllah

The lamb was really good. Slow cooked to perfection, it melted in the mouth. We liked the mixed shared starter plate too. Will come back again.

The restaurant looks decent and their service was alright, although the Shish Kkofta kebab that I ordered was too salty.

Food overall was great, however some are overloaded with rice. The service was ok. A forgotten meal and couldn’t get attention for another round of drinks. It was quite cold but that might just be due weather, will have to come back in summer.

Food is tasty but it is really expensive, especially for a special night out. Might have the advantage because it is the only restaurant of its cuisine in the area.

Waiting 1 hour for dessert, they walked past my empty dishes more than a dozen times, even when it looked like they were not busy at all, kebabs were way too salty

Lovely experience. Glad I went with someone who was familiar with ordering as I would not have known where to start.

Absolutely love dining here! I really love the the set menu platter which is great for trying a bit of everything. Service is always the best and it’s a really cosy place too.

I was so disappointed with my meal. Very expensive last night. 4 skewers of chewy average meat for $31.50: (. The salad was so tasteless no dressing and watery. I will never go back there again. Our waitress was lovely.
