Afghan central restaurant

Booked a table for mothers day in the morning and they sent me the reservation number as well to confirm it. At 6 pm when I reached there with my family they did not acknowledge the message and said we did not see ur online booking and cant do anything. We were fasting as well and we were very disappointed, luckily we went to Dandenong and found a very good restaurant and enjoyed the service we deserved. In the end I would like to add that to trust the reviews that customers give and to not ignore it. Will never go there ever again and also Informed my ffriends

Used to good but this night I bought rice with kebab the rice too much Mashed they put Raw chill, the chill supposed to cook not happy this night.

Great food, great service, great place. Nice and clean. If you want to try afghan kebab for the first time and don't want disappointment, this place has to be your first. Rice is perfect.

Nice kebab meal, delicious taste, big portion. Plenty of space in the restaurant if you want to eat in. Located close to other shops, perfect place to have something to eat after you finish shopping.

Love this place! My husband and I always order Lamb Biryani and the Lamb Ghorme. They always deliver and never disappoint! Very affordable and very yummy.

Ordered afghan bread on 3 different occasions. Made to wait for over 30 minutes twice. The front staff is dishonest and lacks professionalism. I asked how much longer it’s going to take and they don’t even care to properly respond. Wish I could give 0 stars for the pathetic customer service. The lady at the front is going to cost them business big time as word spreads around quickly.

Currently waiting for the order I ordered over an hour ago, and there's many others waiting too, I'm pretty HANGRY right now. The food tastes nice, the customer service could be better, but honestly this long waiting is why I give 1 star byyyeeeeeeeee

This place has the best Afghan food I have ever tasted in Melbourne!
All their meats are fresh and well seasoned. They served it hot and even the bread, rice and salad are fresh.
Prices are reasonable and services are friendly and comfortable.
I have been there 5 times last month and the top dish is the rack of lamb with bread and fresh salad.
Invite you to patronize to enjoy one of the best meal but sometimes the waiting times are slightly long because of the take aways.

Have been one of your clients and food is good but recently they have increased the delivery fee from $8 to $15. With this fee it does not worth it and I am not gonna order food anymore.

Food is delicious, but the wait time for a simple meal is ridiculous. I can't say the food is worth that wait - definitely something they need to work on if they want returning customers.

The waiting time for the meals are absolutely ridiculous and the food was not good in my opinion. The staff were nice.

The food wasn't that great. I liked the kebab but everything else was quite bad. Lamb shank didn't taste nice and all their curries are not that good. I wouldn't recommend coming for anything other than kebab.

Incredibly surprised with the feed we had tonight - food was generously portioned, flavours were delicious and we'll balanced, value was amazing. When you can finish your meal easily with a plastic fork and spoon (not knife!) - you know we're talking about tenderness levels off the charts. We need an option for 10 stars! Highly recommended.

Poor service, we sat down to check out the menu.was asked till move outside when we were sitting at a table already because some man and his family had ordered before us. We were about to order and if he wanted the table someone in his family should have sat at the table to save it before us. This is the most dumbest service in a restaurant I’ve ever experienced. Very unhappy!

We were there Friday 6 March 2020 at 6.15pm (Dinner time). The service was wonderful with friendly staff, and all the Reviews we read about how great the food is were RIGHT! It was reasonably priced and we WILL definitely be going back real soon.

The food here is exceptionally good, but when you add how cheap it is you're getting amazing value. Take a seat if you can, as the bread that comes with a sit down meal is incredible.

It’s the real deal. The rice fragrant, soft and not oily. The lamb and shami (minced) juicy, flavourful. Don’t have to go dandy anymore for that fix

Where do I start. The food here is just amazing. I ordered the Kabuli Polo (rice, sultana, carrot and lamb shank) and was advised that mum made it fresh. OMG the lamb was just falling off the bone and packed with flavours - Yum! I also got the Chicken Tikka with the bread, which was brilliant! Highly recommend this place and will be coming back

UPDATE: went back and ordered there mantoos. They are so damn good!
