Super cool, highly interactive and up to date. As a gen Zer it is incredibly cool to see how much time and thought went into the moving picture before I can now enjoy video games. There is nothing more amazing than when I saw the games and realised they were new ones I have played before. Because of how up to date the exhibits are, it makes me feel like I am part of this history.

Fascinating look into moving pictures. Excellent exhibition that'd be great for families. Lots of hands on bits and pieces.

It's been about 10 years since we were last in to visit ACMI. Wow what an upgrade they've had. Great visit for an hour or so with or without kids. And its free,

A free museum that opens up the history of TV, where time passes for about an hour. It's ok for a rainy day, but we don't think this was a must-see attraction.

Love it here! It’s my little chill place it the city and I take everybody I know here, so far I’ve take 13 people and plan to keep bringing more! It’s free, easy to get to and full of information. Super disability friendly and accommodating. I don’t think words can ever do this place justice so just go already!

The atmosphere, amazing, the attractions, amazing and the food. Wowee it was good. My acne even started returning as soon as I entered. The movie cinema was the best and E watched Garfield and ate reasonably priced popcorn from the cafe. At the end, wow the gift shop was nice, I got a big teddy bear for my cousin and I to play with.

Great experience for my little family. Staff are so amazing, my 5month old son had vomited and 2 workers were so amazing to us after it had happened. Just made the experience 10x better

This is for young and old. We love the exhibition about the moving image. Especially the carrousel with the strobing lights, absolutely mesmerising. My teenagers were entertained for at least a few hours. The Thor costums were a fantastic addition.

My daughter loves going to ACMI. I can't wait to take her here again after lockdown to see Disney. It's so entertaining we spend a good couple of hours in here. Which is great for me!

This Event has been organised with care and attention to detail. It was like diving back in time and live my childhood all over again

So lovely fantastic and wonderful. Do not miss this place. Kids and family friendly. Full of technology and magic of lights animation. Lots of play areas, history of screening, workshops. If you are visiting for the first time you will be surprised to see how varied items you can observe and play and will definitely love to come back again. Please allocate good time to go around this place.

The Disney exhibition is shamefully expensive and as boring as batsh**! Honestly, all it is a few drawings and videos and endless boring, repetitive stuff to read. No models, no interactivity, not even good viewing rooms to sit and watch! There are about 6 drawings or pictures per film and a tv on a loop for nearly every movie showing the same scene over and over.that's it. Absolutely a waste of time and money.don't bother.

The free exhibition on film and screen, however, is excellent and meant our trip wasn't wasted. If only the Disney exhibition had a quarter of the interesting things we saw here!

Love ACMI! It's my home away from home. Always excellent exhibitions (just went to the Disney one) and the new renovations are stunning. Such a really lovely and creative space for all ages. Can't wait to be back again soon!

I loved my visit to ACMI. You can see a lot of things about visual and audio stuff, like the evolution and history about the screen, tv, color, photography, radioand music. You can go with your family and friends.

ACMI gives a wonderful insight into the world of cinema and film.
Enjoyed my visit and learnt a lot about the evolution of film and television.
Particularly liked the ACMI lens that we are given at the beginning of the tour, which allows us to scan each artefact for more information, which can be accessed later at home. Great idea!

I went around Easter school holidays times and didn’t realise how busy it got which made it hard to try out the different games and sound rooms. Would definitely go back on an off-peak time.

Recommend this place for anyone who loves nostalgia and has an interest in the history and future of film and television.

Loved The Story of the Moving Image exhibition! Very interactive and you even get a ‘Lens’ given to you upon entry, allowing you to tap and save info or creations throughout the exhibition and later retrieve them online. Staff were helpful and informative. Very interesting, took us around an hour to get through and it was Free.

The Disney exhibition was a little underwhelming for me, mainly just artwork and drawings on walls, not anything interactive. But if that’s what you’re into, you would enjoy it. For $26 adult entry, I think there isn’t much value.
