Abbey Road Cafe

This is such a special place. The hospitality, energy, service & food is best in St. Kilda. The owners treat their guests like long lost friends and the fit out and music is iconic. A+

First time visiting with my son a very good experience but second time not as enjoyable. We were seated in exact same spot as before when we were walk ins. I booked our table two weeks in advance and thought we may have been seated in a different spot. Waited a long time for our food order to be taken and when it did come wasn't very appealing. My roasted pork belly was nice but the carrots and radish hard and mashed potato tasted like it was rehydrated flakes. My son ordered the double cheddar burger but the patty wasn't cooked properly and had mayo on it when it wasn't written on the menu. My son hates mayo. And to top it off card machines weren't working and I had to use the cash I had on me to pay for our meal. Lucky I had enough. We won't be visiting again anytime soon.

Was nice on our first visit but were charged extra for an item that was not even served. We were told it's all cocktail specials, but later on were charged full price for Long Island Ice Tea.

Spoke to one of the manager over the phone about the extra charges and he offered to sort out the bill for cocktails and food on our next visit.

But on our next visit we were informed the Long Island was not included in the cocktail specials and another manager seemed like he was doing us a favor by adjusting the amount for the dish that was never served. Guac was average too.

Left a bad overall experience.

Very cool, very hip, very artistic and still a relaxing place to have a meal. Baby Back Pork Ribs is terrific, so delicious and they have a big size meal. What makes it PERFECT for me? Is the fact that they are playing songs of my favourite band in the background, The Beatles, which makes me sing while I was enjoying my meal. I definitely recommend this place. I will bring my relatives here when they come down from Queensland and NSW, i'm definitely sure that they will love this place! Thank you to the management (I think they are brothers and sisters and also to the mother).

A friend recommended to go here, we went here for dinner and loved it so much we went back the next day for breakfast! Friendly staff, great food, amazing cocktails and great atmosphere! We will be back!

I did not eat my meal, it tasted horrid. Maybe it was just my taste or something was wrong with the meat, noone on the table was game enough to taste and we didn't see a wait person to ask so i just left it while everyone else finished their meals. The cafe itself is decorated wonderfully, and the vibe is cool, the staff you don't see once they have taken your order and there is no uniform so you wouldn't be able to tell who was staff anyway. When it came to paying the bill cashier asked how everything was and i explained it was horrid and left on the table. I still paid for it, hoping it wasn't the meat it was just my taste, i didn't get sick off the one mouth full so maybe it was just me?

We came for the very first time at the place, specifically ordered the vegetarian pizza but they gave us the pizza with the pepperoni and one of family member was intolerant to meat. The staff is inexperienced in taking the orders and also the carelessness of the kitchen staff who didn’t read the order carefully

Abbey Road is an institution in St Kilda. The staff are always great and super kind and helpful. The food is good for what the menu offers. The roast is good on a Sunday. The best part of this place is people watching outside with friends over a beer.

Awesome vibrant venue, stopped in for brunch, friendly professional service, awesome good and coffee, was A1, brilliant decor.the whole package, thankyou Abbey Rd.

Great find on Acland St. The organised chaos inside was brilliant. From grandma directing traffic from the couch at the doorway to the roaming smiling waitstaff. I can thoroughly recommend the King burger and the Tim Tam and Salted Caramel Popcorn milkshake. Though I don't recommend the latter before the former if you're intent on finishing the burger. It's a monster!

Smack in the middle of Acland Street this is a great place to come and in inside or out. Of course outdoors means you get to watch all the people who visit this popular spot.
Coffee is really good. Food pretty good and not too expensive. Do try the steaks.
Fun and funky place that has very helpful staff.
Dietaries catered for, just let staff know. Takeaway available. Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Pram and stroller accessible. Parking is okay.

The pizza is basically a larger version of the type you'd hastily buy for your hungry child at the cinema.

They do make nice milkshakes though.

Sorry guys not feeling it. Coffee was good, but food came out cold and with large black hairs in it. When trying to pay the person doing the transaction pretty much screamed in my ear to another staff member about what table some food was for. I'm not very fussy so 3 starring because of your coffee, but some very basic errors here.

The coffee was hands down outstanding! You know when you have your first taste and immediately want another one? The staff was friendly, the ambience and music was just so much fun. A great way to start the morning! Check it out if you want an eclectic, good and satisfying time.

Food was terrible the oil looks like it has not been changed in months they could not even get the coffee right will not be going back there again very disappointed

I get dragged here by my partner who can't get enough of the beer towers! Great food and good selection of wine.

Being one of the "regulars ", Abbey rd cafe is like a "family " atmosphere. Staff very friendly, good service, a popular place to eat in Acland St, and drink till your heart "contents "! Creative cocktails, if it's not on the Menu just us the friendly staff, the "happy hour" is indeed happy inside or al fresco! Cold? You say.no worries. Strong outdoors heathers and even a smoking area! But be quick, competition is big! I love the place, very multicultural and multicolored!

Awesome atmosphere, the boys in there are very friendly and inviting had the chilli burger and the pork belly burger absolutely delicious highly recommend!

Lovely food, great service, nothing to difficult. We went as a large family group with children and we were all well catered for. Would definitely recommend.

Our go-to for Sunday brunch, coffe and cake, or a laxy beer. Love the atmosphere. The staff do an amazing job too!
