82Whilst the achari tikka was amazing, the lamb and chicken biryani and Balti paneer were mediocre. The two biryanis didn't have much depth of flavour.
It's my first time here. Had reserved a table for two, but when we came we had to wait a bit. It's quite congested and the table for 2 is very small. No place to put food if there are plates and glasses on the table. Then after ordering the food, it took more than 45 minutes for the food to arrive, and even then they got the wrong order. Furthermore they told us after an hour that one of the items we ordered wasn't available. The food taste and quality were average, prices on the higher side but the service was appalling to say the least. Would not want to come again. Disappointing for such a well known restaurant.
Food taste has been changed wht it was b4 7yrs. It's more now a name n fame than taste n consistancy. Over priced food. $6 for a butter naan tht is outrageously over priced than 5* restaurant.
Would not ever go there again.
Ordered Mango punch under mocktail and was given Mango lassi. I asked to confirm whether they gave us lassi by accident and they said no this is Mango punch. If this is the case, what is Mango lassi?
It was the first time for us. The best food I've tasted ever. The staffs are really good. Our service person was saurabh he gave us a good service working with dedication. Andhra prawn curry was the best. One small concern I have is it needs maintenance.
Food is very commercial in taste, service is ok. A bit chaotic. Very noisy. A victim of its own success. No soul. I wouldn't like to go there again.
Unresolved flavours and chaotic service. Ordered the Malai Kofta and keema nann both left me cheated in terms of authentic flavours. The staff were pleasant but unorganised and seemed distracted.
Had a great meal here. Chicken 65 off the indochinese menu was great and is an excellent dish to share among the table as the serve is very generous! Kadhai paneer, butter chicken, baingan bharta, lemon rice and pani puri were also very nice.
This restaurant presents itself as classy and high-end. The wait staff at this particular restaurant don't even understand english and are shocked if you order something which they don't know of but is in the menu. Even worse is the fact that I was served biryani with a strand of hair in it, disgusting. The Deer Park branch on the other hand don't have enough wait staff, so expect super long waits.
Went with friends to footscray branch, come here after 3 years.order few thing out of which tandoori platter was good.goat briyani was really below average, as it was not even fresh.you lost few customer.
Great service, very hardworking staff. Owner -agh stay away from them. I used to go this place when it was new 10 years ago, now all restaurants cook the same.
Best Indian food.but little difficult to get table during busy days.we have to go for back side hut.table is not enough for 4person.butter chicken is perfect choice.
The food is really good. I am not the first time here and always enjoy what they have on offer. And always have good service. The place is very busy, so they obviously making a good profit. I believe they have to start reinvesting in this place. The place feels run down. The entry through side corridor looks pretty poor. It is crowded at the entrance. People waiting for to be sited and takeaway. It doesn’t look right. They can fly if the can bring this place up to scratch.
Very busy and popular place and now know why! Food is suburb. The tandoor prawns was a highlight for me and masala puri entree. Even though the place was packed the service was fast.
Food isn't half bad. Staff aren't very polite. They're doing too much business to bother being nice to customers anymore.
All the best thoigh.
This place is a little expensive, good for the occasional celebrations. But the ambience is VERY LOUD. They have lots of options on offer, and additional seating in the back. They have a huge dinner rush, even on weekdays. So, do book in advance.
Really delicious Indian cuisine. Very nice staff, friendly, attentive and one of the best Indian cuisine restaurant in Melbourne. Enjoyed the place and loved the food. Will go again soon.
The dining at the back of the restaurant is bad. The plates are not clean. Food is OK not worth the price. Will not go back
Dinner last night takeaway was great the butter chicken was fantastic as was the cheese naan.
Only down side we asked for all mild food and the fried chicken and egg rice was spicy. But it was for the kids so they wouldn't eat it.
Had heard a lot from everyone about the food here but got very disappointed. We had ordered kadahi chicken which was overcooked and had no salt, the Mutton rogan josh was also tasteless and had no spice in it. The butter nan was almost fried in butter. I would rate it 1 for the food being tasteless
