We had a guided tour in the house for one hour but you cannot access all the rooms of the house and you cannot visit the upstairs floor.
The house is in very good conditions.
You cannot take pictures inside.
There is a nice caffè /restaurant and souvenir shop.

Great historical house to visit with well guided tours. Also just with wandering around the large gardens and historical buildings outside the house. Next time we will come back with more time.

We had a magic tour of the house with a tour guide who was very well informed and helpful. The house is full of stuff from the generations of the Archer family - the last Archer wife loved pink! Then a stroll through the gardens - great anticipation from the budding roses in their beautifully ordered gardens - can wait till first flowering in November. Highly recommend.

A must see for Australian Heritage lovers with warm and friendly staff. Good food and beverage on site also. A Tassie gem.

Great staff. So much to take in. So much information here and the garden (although not period) is so beautiful. Well with the time. Even has a cafe restaurant there too. Fyi give yourself at least 2-3 hrs minimum to look around

Marvelous! A must see for flower lovers and history buffs alike. Went on guided tour and was delighted with the insights of our guide. Restaurant wonderful too!
