CONS:
Walls were paper thin.
There was a wedding the night we stayed and the music was going until 4am.
The service was poor from the young girl behind the counter. (Maybe she was busy due to the wedding?)
Food was overpriced, so much for a meal then add vegetables, extra $, chips, extra $ and gravy, extra $.
Room was run down.
PROS:
Pizza was delicious.
Scenery was amazing.

The food was amazing with good size portions there local ice creams was beautiful and the best chai latte iv had absolutely spot on! We checked out early and grabbed two chicken and bacon avo salad rolls that where huge was the best rolls we have had hands down! I’m a very picky eater but I would definitely recommend here just beautiful with the views and the restaurant feels like another world. Only down fall the lake view room we had didn’t feel the cleanest with a odd smell probably a repaint of walls could help but bed was really comfortable and with stunning views staffing and waiters was really nice and definitely will return when visiting Tasmania

If I could give it a 6 I would. Absolutely amazing. I guarantee you will have a great time if you come here. The staff are amazing and so is the location & cabins.

Fantastic place to base yourself for the many hikes in the area. Excellent facilities and a great price. Views from the lake rooms are stunning.

The location was about 40 mins to Cradle Mountain. Older style timber/fibro? Rooms, our room had no wardrobe or even room to put our two suitcases. Had an old writing desk in one corner of the bedroom. We paid $160 per night. Basic locks on all doors and basic fly screen and sliding doors. No air con. However it had a great cosy restaurant and bar with desserts and ice creams. You can hear people waking up the hallway in our block.
However: The Staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. I watched the patience of the Female Staff Member serving ice cream to the young kids and Mother. Location is basically raised up on the lake. Very comfortable beds and fresh clean linen. Just be aware that the rooms are old. We enjoyed the stay in general- just that the style of rooms weren’t for us really.

The room where we slept was nice, but the restaurant was quite disappointing (food was below average, waitresses didn’t smile).

Beautiful view, exceptional service! Staff cannot be praised enough!

Story time: the original accommodation we booked for night of the 1st Jan was non-responsive, and forced us to find accommodation late at night. We called Tullah Lakeside Lodge at 9: 40pm and to our saving Hayley picked up! She went out of her way to go to the lodge (it was clear that her shift was over) to see if there was rooms for us when she could have easily - and justly - turned us away. Lucky for us there was a room that's available for us, Hayley even set the room for us as it wasn't set up for guest yet.

We managed to stay for 2 nights given the busiest period of year. Rooms are ensuites with clean towels and toiletries provided for. There's a cafe on site that serves all meals during set times (breakfast: salmon benedict). The cherry on top - you get a spectacular view of the lake just a few steps from the front door!

Would definitely come back and book the place again should we come back to Tas (as we saw other guests handed canoe padels as we were leaving, will want to try next time!).

Enjoyed the quiet, relaxed atmosphere of the whole place. Right by the lake so easy to take a stroll around the banks of the lake and enjoy the view which is awesome. There were activities and longer walks on offer. The restaurant was good with reasonable priced and quality, pub style food. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the room was great, we had like a cabin style room within a group of others, with our own bathroom. No view, but it was only a short walk to the main bar and restuarant and picnic table area that you could sit at anytime. Enjoyed our stay and would come back next time in the area.

Stayed there while on our way to Cradle Mountain. Rooms were a bit dated but still nice and clean. Staff were friendly and very helpful.
Food at the restaurant was nice.
Great view of the lake

Tranquil setting, great food and service, relaxing stay. Don't forget, they have lots of rooms and cabins, but also powered caravan sites with full amenities. Well done guys.

We booked this place as a stop over for Cradle Mountain. Booked a lake view room, had a great view but the room was very dated. The place was VERY cold, we were only given a small oil heater. The walls are paper thin, could hear other guests going to the toilet, having conversations and snoring. Not great with the miners staying there waking up so early too.

On the plus side the restaurant was good. Good value for money.

Recommended place to visit, the food and drinks were great and reasonable priced, lost a star for no table service. Extremely nice views over the lake and forest.

Tullah Lakeside Lodge is absolutely a winner. The location is spectacular and the service warm and friendly. The standard of cleanliness is 10/ 10 and our room was neat and tidy and beautifully kept by the house keeping staff. New and modern appliances gleaming bathroom. The view from our room and our little deck was just lovely. All kinds of people were staying here, walkers, visitors, workers en route making for a comfortable atmosphere during meal times in the bar and restaurant. Two huge log fires made everything feel relaxing. The staff in the kitchen and bar are lovely and accommodating making me gluten free options at meal times. We will return and wish we were staying longer. Final thought, this magical place is so close to so many beautiful sights and is perfect for anyone wishing to see Cradle it's 40 mins away. Thankyou to everyone for your hospitality and a shout out to the young man barrowing the logs for the fires. Mand and Lutz
