Trowunna Wildlife Sanctuary reviews
66Fantastic experience, even during the wet and cold season. The devils were so cute! Kangaroos get pretty intense when they see you have food. Would highly recommend!
Amazing tour and great local knowledge. Can see workers genuinely care about the animals and are passionate about their jobs
THE BEST LITTLE STORY of animal heritage and preservation of seen in Tasmania, and its told through Indigenous Aborigine life and love of animals. 100% GREAT
TROWUNNA WILDLIFE PARK.
This place is phenomenal, such lovely staff and incredible animals. You gotta come here and pet the kangaroos. Ned is the best, such a great tour guide and all round top bloke.
Very interactive. Loved the wombat walk. Very informative staff. Wear shoes you don't mind getting dirty.
Well worth the visit - we had a guided tour which included the chance to see the feeding of Tassie devils, and get to pat a devil and a bare nose wombat.
This place is an amazing experience. The keepers are very knowledgeable and you can tell they love their job and the animals. The tours are Wonderful and get up close and personal with a Tasmanian Devil was the best part. Trowunna is a beautiful park set in a tranquil bush setting. And in sure you will love this place.
It is an amazing place to visit! You can feed the kangaroos (they give you a special kangaroos food), meet and ask question about wombats and tassie devils, see other exotic animals. I love it and if I could, I'd like to visit it again!
A totally relaxing, informative, and thoroughly enjoyable interactive Tassy wild life rescue park. Much enhanced by the knowledge and relaxed no hurry guiding and commentary of Ned, the parks senior officer.
We LOVED it.
%100 recommend to everyone of all ages. Such a fun time! Being able to interact with the kangaroos and see the devils through the well kept enclosures - amazing! Great memories have been made!
The sanctuary provides visitors with the opportunity to get up close and personal with some of Tasmanias most iconic wildlife while also educating them on the conservation efforts required to maintain the species survival long term in the wild and also the challenges each species faces. Beautiful surrounds and some of the loveliest little characters. Albus the spotted tail quoll was an easy favorite. Too sad they only live for five years.
Great morning staff excellent great information all the critters looked happy& healthy well done everyone
Great cozy private wildlife sanctuary. Lovely and knowledgeable staff with lots of information to provide and are happy to answer your questions, make sure you make it to the tours where they feed the animals including the tassie devil. Can also join in the tours while they’re running. They’re about 45 mins long.
Very well kept with lovely housing for the animals. Best enclosures I have seen with happy and healthy inhabitants.
The sanctuary was beauiful and very informative it was really nice to be able to walk among the kangaroos and feed them very nice afternoon,
Great tour of wildlife in the park. Rehabilitation going well of Tassie Devils, quolls and others. Informative friendly guide
A great way to show off native animals, that have been hand raised being able to feed them by hand & give them a scatch if they allow it, I found it to be really therapeutic for all ages & also give a donation for their care
Five star for the experience as well as the passion these people are putting in caring for the local wildlife. Don't come here if you're after a fancy zoo; definitely come here if you wanna see, touch, and learn about Tasmania fauna.
Fantastic, Ned gave us a tour of the animal sanctuary. His passion for the breeding program of the animals was impressive. Highly recommend a visit.
