Called in for lunch and a beer. Food is good and plenty of it. Staff cool. Feel welcome by all staff and local people.

Not overly expensive great tasting food and it really feels like a pub.the modern updated ones around it are just for the cool crowd. Perfect place to eat quick before doing on of escape rooms next door.

Nice hotel located just across the river. Some rooms offer river views. The rooms are nice, clean and comfortable. There is also a restaurant offering typical bistro food. And there's also a bar. Overall, a good lodging option for Wynyard.

Great pub in wynard and at the time of writing the only option really. It was steak night when we went so it was very busy and moat tables reserved. We were lucky to get one as people left. Pints are over $10 and 8 beers on tap. Steak was $20 that night. Otherwise 27. Very generous portions. I went for the chicken Parma which was $26 and it was one of the best I had. The Elephant In Loaf with cheese an chives as a starter is amazing too.

Great views from hotel dining area. Food hot and delicious. Good choices on menu. Love the $15 meal nights. Don't love that smoking is allowed out front if I wanted to dine there.

We stayed here for three nights. Just after somewhere to lay our heads after touring the North West. The hotel is old, but the bathroom in our room was new, and our bed was comfortable. Meals in the hotel were excellent value, with very good size portions. Staff were incredibly friendly and definitely a credit to the business. Will stay here again when we come back up.

A weird vibe when we went here to eat, it felt like a theatre, I don’t know why. I don’t remember what food we ate but it was good.

The food was not only very nice but large portions. No wonder the dining room was completely filled on a Sunday night. We sat in the public bar which I will do again

Most reviews focus on food and location but I want to emphasise the fact that many rooms are situated directly above the bar/restaurant which is the source of LOUD music all day long, until late (after midnight) hours. Otherwise our room was clean and staff friendly.

Nice room and meals but room lacks travellers essentials ie. Plates for toast and knife, hair dryer, iron but would stay again
