The Wharf Hotel Wynyard reviews
55Reasonable fare; great service.given it was Christmas Eve, after the annual parade - a welcome spot to relax.
Great Sunday roast with dessert $20.00
Top marks value for money service fantastic well done.
Had a $35 coral trout meal. The fish and chips were cold and soggy. Maybe they budget the electricity, I don't know but won't be back.
Terrible place to stay, rooms are loud as hell and dirty, beds are clapped out and smell. Great if AC/DC blasting into the night in the middle of the week is your thing. Just thankful I learnt my lesson booking here for one night and not more
Awesome staff.
Great atmosphere
Clean and tidy room.
Best accommodation I've stayed in at Tasmania.
I only went for Dinnner as where were staying couldn't provide
Food was amazing and filling.
Ordered the onion rings as a entrees its so big it could been a main consequently I struggled to eat my pizza
Eaten here before and was amazing. But this time it was so sub standard I was appalled. My husband expected to be sick through the night as he ordered grilled flathead only to be served fish of some sort. My curried scallops were so poor. I ate them as had no option. Would not recommend this place to anyone food wise.
Was a great place once but let down sooooo badly this time. And I might suggest we are average punters not up market peeps.
.
Went for dinner this evening and it was the worst meal I’ve had for a very long time. I ordered a Bbq bacon burger which came after an hour with no bacon and the bun felt like a sponge. My daughter had a Chicker Parmi which was still raw in the middle. My son in law had Carbonara in which he found a chip in the sauce. My wife supposedly had Scotch Fillet Steak (medium) which almost turned to dust when she stuck her in. If you want a decent meal avoid this place like the plague.
We had dinner here. The dining room was busy but the service was up to the challenge. Meals arrived promptly, great service, dishes were more than ample sized and delicious seafood.
Don't expect luxury but the rooms have great beds, clean rooms, great food and the location by the Inglis River is lovely
Typical pub style accomodation, small cheap rooms with basic ammenities. Room was clean and the Bed was comfy. Only down side was there was some light shining in from the hallway and the room smelt a little stuffy. But for $100 a night a decent budget accommodation option.
Noticed it as we were passing by and called in for their 2 course Sunday lunch. Wow what a great meal we had and customer service was both friendly and prompt. Highly recommended!
Just ate a dinner there.
Prawn and scallop skewers were terrible, very tough, not fresh.
Flathead was like a quarter of a fillet, which made the meal very expensive. Do they get 4 meals out of one fish?
Bread was ok. But wanna be for $12.
It was ok. Food ok. Would have liked to see salad selection not all fried foods & chips
Food was fine, but got a kids meal 20min before the other two meals - and other patrons who ordered after us, got their food first.
Had a lovely $15. Chef's special lunch.
Enjoyed in a clean, sunlit dining room, overlooking the river.
Give it a try, we were delighted.
Don't order the ribeye (or presumably any other grilled items) unless you like eating literal pieces of charcoal.
Also, make sure to explain what you expect when you order your steak medium-rare, as the chef seems to think this means to cook it to a crisp.
Stopped in for a Sunday lunch. This was absolutely delicious, and the steak was fantastic.
Well priced.
Friendly staff and the atmosphere is lovely. Will definitely go back again
Shrinking serving sizes and now quite expensive (even with the so-called specials). Dinner and a drink for $35 to $40 each - for pub grub.
