Salty dog was a real disappointment, my friend who’s disabled wasn’t allowed to finish his ice cream without getting kicked out

Really warm and inviting atmosphere with a lovely spacious design. Staff are consistently friendly and helpful. Great beer selection, every meal I've chosen has been delicious, from the duck to the Parmi to the burger - but the roast lamb was by far the standout. Sunday sessions in the beer garden are great for summer beers and tunes. The atmosphere is ideal for families and dogs, but I also love coming here with friends.

Loved the Gado -gado. Hard to find nutritious, tasty vegetarian meals. $15 is a good price for a filling serve, with of tofu and egg.

Salty Dog inspires thoughts of crumbed scallops and fish lots of different ways. Menu was disappointing on the first look and things didn't improve from then on. Four meals were ordered, three came out with a side of chips, which was placed in front of me. I said no there is another meal to come, and it did about 10 minutes later, when my companions were practically finished theirs. Not scoring too well so far Salty. One of the other mains boasted a pepper crust, well that's still coming too. My Dessert order made a late entry also, which just added to the overall disappointment. Sorry Salty too many other great places to go. I won't be returning any time soon. Luckily the company was first rate, because the food and service placed a distant second.

Great location, perfect beer garden and place for kids to run around outside. Great service and reasonably priced meals. Gets really noisy when a few tables fill up though.

Relaxing Beer garden where one can take in the sun a beer a meal and take the little folk. Walk across the road take a dip at Kingston beach if too hot a day.

Interesting new menu, no Steak or seafood that you would expect. The pork buns and spring rolls were ok and ok for the price.

Great outdoor area where dogs are welcome and cozy fireplace inside. Good service and laidback atmosphere. Will definitely be back for some chippies and good coffee.

Went for lunch, service was attentive and polite but not intrusive. Food was delicious! Gado gado had fresh vegetables, beautiful silky fried tofu and a rich peanut sauce. The marinated mushrooms were nice and tangy with fresh chilies and grilled haloumi. Reasonably priced for the generous serving size, and absolutely gorgeous location on the beach. Highly recommend! Will be back!

Boring menu and hard to pick anything from. Also a bit pricey for what you get. Good outdoor area!

Had the chicken burger it was amazing, but l wish had the half lamb. Lucky someone else in our party got the lamb and l was able to try some

Extremely rude staff, waited an hour for burnt tasteless home styled food.best to give it a miss.

Great little spot facing Kingston Beach, plenty of parking around along the beach unless it's a hot day. The bar inside is nice and they have air-con.

The initial feel of the venue is good. Filled seats and smiling staff, plus a good balance between professional and casual.
But the meals are inordinately overpriced. Both quality and size are horribly underwhelming.

Love it here, always here, (mostly because a close relatives is the head chef) but I really enjoy the atmosphere aswell

Dropped in for a quick pint before shopping. Great bay window overlooking the water. Menu looks great too. Will have to drop back when I get a chance.

Lovely place and good service but the food and drink is ridiculously priced. $40 for a measly small steak and tiny amount of vegetables for my husband and $11 for an average glass of house champagne.
