The Royal Oak Hotel reviews
48Had a wonderful meal at the royal oak. Service was exceptional as well. Great value for money.
Absolutely delicious! We had the pork belly, steak, grilled squid, and a few sides. The food was fantastic! Also very reasonably priced for the quality. We only had 1 night in Launceston and were very happy we decided to spend it here.
We had the Prawn Linguine and the Pork Belly and mash. Food was lovely and service was super speedy. Would go back in a heartbeat
Wonderful dining experience. Delicious food, excellent service. Best prawn linguine I’ve had. Will visit again.
Beautiful meal. Totally recommend prawn pasta and pork belly. Not from here but would def come back.
Up to date good quality wine; good passing traffic view; music good too. Ha, heh
Don't pass it by!
I recently had the pleasure of playing a show at the Royal Oak Hotel in Launceston, and I must say, it was an amazing experience.
From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and accommodating, helping us with our equipment and ensuring that everything was set up for our performance. The stage and sound system were top-notch, and we were able to deliver a high-energy set that had the entire crowd on their feet.
The atmosphere at the Royal Oak was fantastic, with a lively and engaged audience that made us feel right at home. The venue itself is beautifully designed and decorated, with a great layout that allows for easy movement and excellent sightlines from every part of the room.
After the show, we were able to unwind and relax in the comfortable and well-appointed bar area, enjoying a drink and chatting with the friendly and knowledgeable staff. Overall, I would highly recommend the Royal Oak Hotel to anyone looking for a great night out in Launceston. It truly is a top-notch venue with fantastic staff and a great atmosphere.
Found us a table with no reservation very quickly, friendly service, fantastic food and drinks. Perfect wholesome dinner.
I bloody love this pub. The food is delicious, the staff, great value (shout out to Vanessa), the atmosphere #1, with music, fireplace, couches. Great location and most excellent range of beverages
Waited half an hour to get served while all of the bars mates got served first. Wouldn’t recommend
We visited from Sydney where we consider ourselves spoilt for choice for quality pubs. But the Royal Oak was up there with the best of them. Fantastic vibe, live music & great welcoming crowd. Regrettably, we didn't eat there because but it looked and smelt amazing.
Pints, food and live gigs. Great little spot in the heart of the city. Just give it a go and you will understand
Chicken parmi is fantastic. Side dishes are also very worth trying. It is a nice bar with very young vibe on 1st Bar floor and family/friend vibe on 2nd restaurant floor.
Its so different from my last visit more than 5yrs ago. So up to date and beautiful. Service was great, went to see a band.
I went for dinner recently and had one of the best Parma’s I’ve ever had! I was blown away by the absolute deliciousness (and the size… sooo big!) - and don’t even get me started on the cocktails they have been recently making!
The staff are beyond amazing! Had really great service from the lovely wait staff - I believe their name was Adam… as well as bar staff Ash, Ari and Grace!
Renovations are beautiful and the atmosphere is charming… the beautiful rooftop would be the perfect spot for a function… but the most impressive note I would have to give - is simply knowing the Royal Oak supports their ‘regulars’, the arts, Tasmanian beers - and the queer community…
I am froffing for this place ️
I've been a local at this pub for a while, and have seen bar tenders come and go. But I have to say that Grace Silver is the one of the best, in terms of service, personality, and professionalism, that has worked at this bar or any other. Well done Grace. Cheers, Luke
Dined here this evening and had the best parmi I've had in years. My date had a delicious steak, the chips and sauce were on point. Will be back.
Went to a live music event but was underwhelmed by the process. Plus the bonus of not enough staff to cover the crowd
Warm and friendly, have to book if you want dinner, as we didn't but they accommodated us ad walk ins 10seats were available. Nice food.
Wow, food was so divine and service was top notch. We had the pasta and it was so great. Dessert was so delicious too. Overall easy 5 stars
