I read the reviews for this place and decided to give it a shot despite some reviews condemning that they reheat the pasta and sauce. The picture of the chicken pesto looked so good! Happy to report that it was as tasty as I expected it to be! Creamy savoury and the spaghetti had a nice chew to it.

They heat it through so it is piping hot and you don’t need to worry about cold spots! The desserts and ice cream looked great, would love to try another day. Free street parking outside the store after 6pm!

My partner had the marinara fettuccine in tomato sauce, it was a little bit more bland and the pasta had not been tossed through the sauce before reheating, like the chicken pesto was. For this reason, it felt like there wasn’t enough sauce. The fettuccine however was so silky and smooth! I can only imagine how much more delicious it would be if we had the facilities to cook our own pasta. We also shared a chicken lasagne which was nice and crispy on the edges and soft and silky in the centre. Delicious too!
I will add that if you’re an adult deciding between the small and large, to go for the large! You can’t get enough of this pasta, and also the small was quite a bit smaller than I expected. It’s a shallow round container, compared to the deeper round containers you might get takeaway soup in:)
All in all, this place deserves more credit and I would definitely recommend it a tasty, comforting and affordable take away spot for tourists like myself stopping through the city:)

First time eating here, was not disappointed, both the food and the service were excellent, will definitely be going back, highly recommended this place

When my wife and I decided to move our wedding forward, we needed a caterer in a rush. We contacted the pasta merchant about catering for a 25 person wedding and they were only too happy to assist. It was a easy process and was able to be sorted out within 20 minutes of first contacting them.
We were able to pick up the food hot to serve straight to our guests. We found the food absolutely delicious and really good value for money. We would highly recommend the pasta merchant for other such events.

Awesome genuine Italian pasta and meals both takeaway and eat in. I make my own pasta etc and I know that these guys make real homemade pasta, sauces and their pizza slices are to die for. They have great Covid screening which is important to me. I have been here before and will continue to patronise this excellent business into the future.

Lovely fresh takeaway pasta the sauces don't have much depth so my suggestion make your own then a perfect dinner

Just hit the spot kind of pasta - perfect portions, warm, hearty and full of flavour. The pasta was also fresh and the place was constantly busy. Expect a bit of a wait. There are seats but limited, and they don't take bookings.

Delicious chicken and veg pasta salad, small serve was very filling. Great coffee, friendly staff. I will go there again

Meatballs cold Sent back just dinged in microwave.rest of dish piping hot.so not great. Good but cudda been better. Staff friendly.not so clean. Floors and tables needed a bit more attention.

A range of pasta freshly made and you choose the sauce. The staff can be hit and miss but the food always tastes the same. You can grab it hot or cold to make later or just get bags of pasta. They last a few days in the fridge. Ice cream and cakes available too.

I have travelled over a large section of the world and have dined in hundreds of restaurants and i believe the Lasagna that i buy regularly from this outlet is the BEST i have ever tasted. Top friendly service.very good prices considering the very high quality of the food sold. The chef there is in my view a master of his trade, BEST FOOD AVAILABLE IN LAUNCESTON.

Awful. Tried a large serve of their "Tuscan meatballs" that was supposedly meant to be served in some kind of tomato sauce. They pulled out a tub of overcooked /pre-cooked pasta. Scooped out 6 small meatballs with zero sauce, & microwaved it. I'm not exaggerating.there was no sauce included. I would guess the ratio of sauce to pasta to be 2: 100. Most dry and flavourless pasta I've ever had. So disappointing. Would not recommend.

Half of the menu wasn’t available, which was disappointing - ‘sold out’. Also the customer service left a lot to be desired. The pasta was ok, would’ve been better if there was more sauce.

Its a nice place to relax.coffee was even ok last time.menu could be changed a little.but enjoyed it

I ordered the fettucine carbonara and it was the worst pasta I have ever tasted. It was bland, the mussels were too chewy, and there was not enough sauce. I was basically just eating a ball of boiled pasta. Never eating from here nor recommending it ever again. Please stop scamming people.

The deserts are terrible. Caramel tart with canned caramel and the chocolate crumb was worse than I imagine dirt. Shocks me that in this day and age people can get away with selling such poor quality food

Love the food there, especially Ravioli. I am vegetarian, and they have a great variety to choose from. I like the garlic bread, it is small and not enough to fill you up so you can't eat your meal. Perfect!

Even though the food was microwaved, the food is delicious. The price is reasonable. Take away is cheaper than dine in I will visit again when I come Launceston.

The pasta was great, however the attitude of the customer service girl was absolutely horrible! She was inconvenienced by everything, was so unhelpful and offered no help when asked for it. She rolled her eyes, huffed and puffed, ignored other customers who were waiting, while other staff just stood out the back. Just whole experience was really off-putting.

Customer service was wonderful, we had two meals there while we were in the area. Pasta was freshly made, and delicious. Pesto chicken is our favorite.

Fresh made pasta but when you order your dish it gets cooked in the microwave source added on top. I couldn't push myself to order it so I don't know how it tastes but the looks didn't win me over.
