The Dragonfly Inn reviews
55 This place was stunning. Out of this world beautiful:) the room itself was so lovely:) we stayed in the "audrey room" with a 4 poster bed, the most comfiest chairs and lovely spa bath:) (it took us ten mins sitting in the spa until we realised if we turn the front of the jets it will control how strong they are
So after ten mins of it being a lovely bath we started our delightful jetted spa.:) the actual grounds and dining/lounge public area was just incredibly beaitiful:) the breakky so yum, which you get to cook yourself:) we had, toast, spreds, eggs, museli, fruit and juice (they also have coffee, hot choc, tea or filteted coffee) we enjoyed it outside in the morning sun with the breeze blowing:) what a romantic angelic night away for our third year anniversary:) thank you so much tom bec and sarah for letting us have the most relaxing night together on our special day that weve had in two years.we will be return guests:) and hopefully next time we get to meet you. 5 star all the way:) deb and nick. Ps. The view from our bedroom window, wow oh wow!
Wonderful, quirky + well appointed accomodation. Even though it is very sharply priced, the delivery is beyond what you would expect to pay. I don't want to hype it too much for fear of missing out on a room when next we visit Lonny.
Fantastic accomadation, great location, rooms very comfortable and clean
Dining room exceptional and breakfast was brilliant- didn't partake in the complimentary sherry this time but definitely will on next visit- highly recommend
Beautifully restored Victorian Mansion with incredible rose gardens. The views over the city from the balcony were great, and our room was huge considering the price. Didn't come across many other people during our stay, but that's how we like it.
Overall this little Gem deserves 5 stars.
We loved the spacious Elle room with the spa bath. The little gifts in the minibar fridge are a hoodie we did not expect. The location is top 5min drive to the cateract gorge or 10min to Launceston city center. Perfect for a couples getaway. The breakfast basket was more than enough for a good morning start.
Very welcoming clean and cosy. The breakfast tray had a very good variety. Look forward to revisiting soon.
Convenient location just out of the CBD with a view over Launceston. Room was very cute, quirky and comfortable! Breakfast was great and all the little complimentaries are lovely. Disapointed we only booked one night.
Beautiful house and cosy rooms. Choice of furnitures are with taste! They have some old collection goodies - like bank ledgers in the 19th century, old picture, wooden piano. They even have a game room and with DVDs that you can lend and watch in your own room like back in the old days!
I love this Historic building, lovely and spacious throughout with facilities for washing and drying clothes, the breakfast is great with generous helping, I certainly will recommend to friends and families
Quaint and cosy hotel with free parking. Detailed oriented and makes us feel very welcomed. Definitely one of the best accomodations in Launceston!
This beautiful heritage home is just gorgeous, was nice and clean, the bed was so comfortable. Absolutely beautiful, will definitely be back
A review with a difference, in that we never actually got to experience the Dragonfly Inn, or to personally meet Bec and Tom.
My wife and I had booked for a couple of nights at the Dragonfly Inn and, due to my wife's mobility challenges, Bec and Tom were exceptional in their professional approach, client attention and communications. Due to my wife's urgent hospitalisation, we had to cancel our long-planned for trip but, again, Bec and Tom were compassionate, understanding and prompt in responding to our situation.
As stated, I can't comment on the Inn itself, but if Bec's and Tom's attitude is anything to go by, I am sure it must be wonderful. Definitely on our list if we ever get to Tassie.
Staying at The Dragonfly Inn was fabulous. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and the extra amenities awesome. There is a book and video library, a guest kitchen, comfortable lounge and beautiful grounds. It is very central to all Launceston has to offer, Cataract Gorge is right around the corner. Tom and Bec are wonderful hosts and it feels like a home. Would definitely recommend to everyone. Liz Hamilton.
Fantastic place to stay! Easy self service, cool old rooms and amenities were great. House has lots of character! Location is perfect for getting to town, waterfront and cataract gorge. Also, the eggs from their chooks were the best I've had in a long time.
