The Dragonfly Inn reviews
55We loved it so much we came back and stayed longer this time.this time we had time to enjoy the spa which was great after spending the morning playing in the snow at ben lomond.breakfast inclusions are more than enough and we just love the atmosphere of the place.
Dragonfly Inn is exceptional value for money. The house steeped in history and full of beautiful furniture and art.
Room was so comfortable, shower great and it’s so nice and quiet there.
Breakfast was generous/good quality and little touches like a food/drink gift on arrival made the stay so special. Will certainly be back.
The Dragonfly Inn exceeded our expectations. Quick and easy self check-in. Beautiful guesthouse, lovely spacious room with views from the balcony, very generous breakfast provisions in gorgeous dining room. Everything first class.
Highly reccommended!
Stayed with partner in upstairs room and mum in downstairs room.
A very enjoyable stay. My 87 year old mother was extremely impressed with the old world grandeur of the property and generosity of the room and breakfasts. Thoughtful touches like earplugs for guests in the communal areas to block out any disturbances although the room we stayed in was quiet except for a crying child next door. I was a bit surprised because I assumed the property was adults only so something to be aware of.some guests not so considerate of others, raiding some items from our breakfast baskets before we arrived (baskets have room names) and as the proprerty is self serve if you need something you will need to contact a mobile number by text. This is reflected in the amazing price and did not detract from our stay.
If interacting with others over breakfast is not for you.take your breakfast basket back up to your room which has everything you need.
The room we stayed in 'the Claudia Room' was very comfortable and we truly enjoy the beautiful I interior. As an Interior Architect I appreciate when the accommodation is tastefully renovated. The amenities were totally up to standard and there was a nice touch of extra's in the room, such as cheese and biscuits, chilled water and the breakfast was all what you can expect. I will nit hesitate to recommend this accommodation to anybody.
We enjoyed our stay, room was comfortable and quite, half an hour walk to town which is great for people who love to walk everywhere
Breakfast is self serve and make, loved it
Only thing I could fault was shower in spa bath, not practical and not safe have to climb into which is not great.
My partner and I would highly recommend the Dragonfly Inn as a place to stay while checking out Launceston and its surrounds. The inn is really well located - we were able to walk to all of Launceston's key attractions from the inn - and super comfortable (felt at home!). The breakfast provided offers a good level of variety, with eggs, toast, fruit cups, yoghurt and muesli all on offer. We also loved the attention to detail the owners have with decorating the inn, both within our room and the common areas.
Great set up. Welcoming old building with character. Relaxing shared lounge room with great atmosphere. Nice little touches like some cheese and bickies.just a bit isolated if you don't have a car.
We recently stayed at The Dragonfly Inn in Launceston for 2 nights. The Inn is centrally located between the center of Launceston and Cataract Gorge, with lovely views over Launceston. The Inn itself is a large manor style home with big balconies (a great place to relax) and lots of period features. The rooms are large and comfortable and the location very quiet with guest privacy a priority. The supplied breakfast hampers are very generous & tasty. There are lots of eating options in the local area too. Overall, this was a great place to stay and we enjoyed the opportunity to stay in a more historic, boutique style of accommodation while in Launceston.
Loved absolutely everything about Dragonfly Inn - beautiful room exactly as described, lovely unexpected welcome gift in the fridge, and the breakfast hamper was amazing. We were only disappointed we couldn’t stay another night. Will definitely stay again on our next trip, and highly recommend ️
Comfortable, excellent instructions, beautiful old house, good location, fabulous breakfast. Very reasonable. Thankyou Tom, Bec and the Team.
Great place to stay. Very clean and cosy. We had three rooms all up and each room had it own theme. Easy to relax in the lounge and breakfast was a treat
Initially only booked 1 night but upon arrival loved the atmosphere and facilities of the Dragonfly Inn & booked a consecutive night.
Easy 20min walk into heart of Launceston and a terrific continental breakfast in the morning to prepare for your day adventuring.
Look forward to returning.
Love love love the dragonfly inn. The decor, ambience and location are perfect with a fantastic breakfast. Highly recommend this place - peaceful and relaxing. Communication was excellent and self-service check in very easy.
Absolutely gem of a place. The decor is just beautiful. Fantastic location and generous breakfast provided. Would highly recommend.
This is my fourth or fifth time staying at Dragonfly. The rooms are always presented immaculately, and the check-in process is smooth and hassle-free. Very generous breakfast provisions are provided. For short work trips, this is my go-to place.
Why would you stay in a dull, bland and boring hotel room, when you can stay in a comfortable, elegantly-styled and decorated room. There's a choice of 6 individually-styled heritage rooms. A huge breakfast is included along with daily drinks and munchies.
What an amazing inn, made even lovelier by the attention to details the owners have provided to the customers and also to the building.
From the self check-in, the fitout and decor, the experiences that the guests could have and discover… everything has been thought of.
If you’re looking for a great place to stay in Launnie, this is it!
Luxurious, accommodating, welcoming, breakfast was lovely. Wish the Reed organ worked a bit better but all in all a great free-reed organ experience.
Quite the delightful stay. Beautiful rooms that are kept very warm, and have pretty much all you need. Simple breakfasts, could use more variety, and some lovely port to sip on with friends in the evening. The contactless checkin works, but removes a personal touch to the experience. Very close to Launceston area for lots of dining and experience options. Overall, would still recommend.
