The Bischoff Hotel Waratah reviews
59I highly recommend this hotel.the food is exellent and a lot of the drinks are local which is great to see.the publication and his wife were exellent hosts they had a lot of great information on the local area which was a bonus for us as we were on motor bikes.and got some good tips on some special roads to explore.and that's another thing there is a big shed out the back to put your bikes in.this is a motor bike friendly hotel which is great.and it even has a tesla recharge station for your tesla car. Do your self a favour and go and experience this place you can spend 2 days here easy to see a lot of the history here
Had a meal here for lunch. Spectacular view from the dining room, not many pubs where you can gaze at a waterfall as you eat. The pub is classic rural australian pub. The publican was very friendly, helped our group decide which route to take onwards and was very friendly to other guests as they arrived. The meal was ok, I had a pot pie. It was a little plain for my tastes, but still cooked well and with care. The sides of chips and salad were spot on, the salad was fresh and tasty. My friend had a parmi and he was very impressed. The dining room was a lovely place to be for a break.
Went there today, great view over the waterfall.a quirky old fashioned type pub built 1800's, barman was friendly and helpful. Food was good and fair prices $25. Parking outside the door.
Decent enough accommodation - recently renovated by the looks of things. Dinner finished at 7: 45pm, but they rustled me up a toastie at the 'after-hours' time of 8: 30pm. Continental breakfast available for $6.
We stayed in the caravan park for 2 nights but went to the pub both nights and had a meal and drinks the meals were home cooked and delicious prices excellent. The locals were so nice and friendly and Paul the landlord was so nice. Could retire here highly recommend
I never write reviews but this hotel felt like home. The staff are incredibly kind and everything was comfortable. The food was also delicious. We will be telling everyone to visit. Great little town and community.
Lovely old historic pub and hotel. Tasty honest good food. Always friendly and inviting. Owners have renovated the guest rooms, just a great place to visit.
Another classic Tassie Pub, Good Tucker, neat and clean accomodation, friendly locals with plenty of yarns.
Best pub in Waratah hands down.warm and friendly with cold beer. Rooms available So why not stay awhile
Want a chat, a cold beer, or a good pub counter meal then the Bischoff is a good choice and one of the few as you head from the Coast and into the Western Wilds. Waratah is a pretty little town where nature & history meet. Recommend the extra few minutes drive to discover it.
Great place to stay with plenty of character to the place. The staff are super friendly and very helpful.
Perfect place to relax and dine after a busy day exploring the rugged wild west coast. Warm, welcoming and hearty. A trip down memory lane
Great hotel, family run & very friendly people. So popular with the people of Waratah. A beautiful view over the waterfall.
Great old hotel, clean environment, but kitchen no stoves can’t cook food, There are restaurants and bars, but some people are drunk and a bit noisy.
A little run down, has the charm of a small Aussie town pub. The pricing on the food is quite reasonable, four beers on tap. Also operating as a bottle shop for the town. Staff were friendly albeit not very engaging.
Really lovely place with rich history, including photos of my relatives. Lovely service and great food
Stopped in for a drink what a classic old pub loved it and it has a water fall view across the road
Had evening meal here Sunday night. Very enjoyable. The beer was cold, the fire was warm. The young lady serving was very pleasant and friendly. Meals were good old counter style meals at counter meal prices. The patrons were friendly and talkative, including us in their conversations and sharing information and history on this wonderful old mining town. Felt like I was in my local. Thanks.
Seen some ups and downs throughout the years. People that are now running the place seem to know what they're doing. Would recommend
