Tamar Ridge Cellar Door

Wine is really good. Especially the variety of pinot noir they offer. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. We cant find a fault in their service! All was good until, unfortunately, being an Asian descent, we faced a series of attacks from a bike riding older couple where i felt very discriminated because of my race, not by the staff members but by two of the visitors. Such an unfortunate event to happen in a wonderful place like this. My husband and i did not want to confront them further, because #asianhate is real and staff didnt help in remediating the situation, all they said was "some people are just weird"

We arrived at Tamar Ridge (a party of 5) and were told there were 4 people already doing a tasting so we couldn’t do any tastings but could purchase a glass or bottle. My husband and I bought a $100 bottle of wine but we’re still not offered any tastings. Going back to Western Australia with a very disappointing experience from Tamar Ridge. To insult more as we were leaving the staff offered another party tastings. Not impressed.

This place would be the worst Cellar door in Tasmania. The rudest customer service i have ever experienced. I would not recommend it at all and if i could give less than one star i would but it was the only option

Very good wine tasting $15 per head they were very busy but fitted us in as we hadn't booked excellent staff and two bottles purchased

Called at lunch to ask what time they were closing. They said 5pm. Drove 1 hour to get there and arrived at 415pm. And they were closed. I called and they said that they decided to close at 4pm. This is not got enough

Great sparkling wines, the NV won best sparkling in 2020 against famous French brands inc.bolli. The pinots were sensational too! Lovely gardens to relax in, next time I’ll definitely stay for longer.

Seemed a pleasant atmosphere & given a menu.
Signage says open till 5 arrived 2.30 with 4 of us - still people around doing tastings or just relaxing. We ordered 2 x cheese plate as listed for $25ea and a bottle of wine to share.
We were all a little underwhelmed with size the 3 thin slivers of cheese for the price - didn't stay too long & enjoyed it anyway!
When lead hostess came to clear the plate, she made some comment albeit in humor about would have normally came around to offer more wafers but chose not to.saying that we should feel lucky that we even got a cheese plate at all? Whilst she was pleasant, her demeanor made us feel that we were putting her out.
I think she has lost sight that we were the customers there for the travel experience. Upon paying were were charged $30ea for the platter -. Stating that we were given the wrong price menu on arrival with no offer of adjustment.
With a poor attitude to customer service & what would be better described as a cheese tasting rather than a cheese plate & we all left with a bad taste and a spoiled experience.
We went on to visit other winery's way different approach to service with way better value and suggest others do the same.
Suggest Tamar Ridge take a look at attitude to customer service & a little drive around other winery's to see their competition.as we did.

Nice enough cellar door, a good terrace to sit in the sun. Service was nice enough but not very interested in talking about the wine or promoting the range.
Wines are generally good but personally preferred other local cellar doors and wines for the overall taste and experience.

Nice wines, but the tasting experience wasn't the best, standing near the counter the whole time. Felt a bit impersonal.

The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, we loved that the wine tasting was free! Great wine in a beautiful tasting room.

Great winery! Great sparkling wine and pinots. Friendly and informative staff. Nice outdoor space to let the kids run around.

Really nice wines and super friendly. We enjoyed our tasting and got a delicious bottle of 2017 Pinot to enjoy this evening! Nice space for the kids to play as well

Very nice well presented and nice views, friendly service.easy parking and very central.not over priced for the quality! Highly recommend.

Was here for lunch. I don't drink alcohol and was not expecting much from the food here. Boy, was I wrong. We ordered the lamb ribs, duck confit balls, cheese platter and the sweet potato fries. OMG every thing was delicious! And the prices were very reasonable. My wife, who had the wine said it was fantastic as well! After the lunch we spent some time walking around the vineyards.

Great cellar door with quality wine and cheese platters. The area is stunning and worth a stay in the nearby apartments.

We came here once over a year ago and were excited to return, sample some more wines and buy a few bottles. We arrived at 10: 20 and made our way into the Cellar Door. We waited in there for a full 10 minutes but nobody showed up to greet or serve us so we left. Pretty disappointing.

Beautiful venue. We had the most fantastic wine hostess (short curly brown hair). She is knowledgeable of wine regions worldwide & served us such delicious wine. Made the experience that much better at this beautiful wine estate Thank you.

Very friendly gentleman provided my wife, myself and sister a memorable wine tasting experience.
