St. Albi Bar & Eatery reviews
73Overall the dining experience is awesome - we really enjoy the garlic bread and the waygu steak with cox rub. The JP was however slightly overcooked, we ordered medium rare but turned out it cooked to medium/well-done. Would recommend this steakhouse if you visit hobart and booking in advance is recommended.
My husband is a (extremely) fussy eater. Him and my 8 year old son both said it was the best meal they have ever had. Huge call!
The two of us shared the beef brisket share plate and it was exceptional value. So much food for the price and completely faultless.
Our son had the salt and pepper squid off the kids menu and it was one of the best we’ve ever had - and we’ve had quite a few!
Our daughter had the crumbed chicken. It was succulent and, again, perfect.
Service was faultless and the atmosphere was very pleasant.
Loads of space in this venue with indoor and outdoor, undercover dining.
Drinks were not overly cheap, but the range and quality were awesome.
This restaurant was came highly recommend to us.
No I am highly recommending to you
10 out off ten
This will be our go to when we are in hobart next
Family dinner with 8 people. The hostess was very attentive, quick responses without hovering!
Food was as ordered and full of flavour. Good range of drinks although short of some variety in the wine list.
A full house so the noise level was quite high.
Amazing feed. No need to order sauce with your steak, just stick with that delicious butter that's served with it.
The side of mushroom was some of the best mushrooms I've had. My partner loved the duck fat potatoes. Cocktails were nice. I was a bit gobsmacked when my partner ordered a $40 glass of whiskey and they brought him out a sip!
Very enjoyable flavours and will definitely be back.once we financially recover from this one
R a slightly out of the way places in a converted tilt up shed this place was a surprise. Food was good, service fine, prices ok
Excellent food and services. They have lunch specials, always sold out quickly.strongly recommended to people who wanna have big meal.
Was pretty disappointed, the food was very overpriced for very small portions and also didn’t taste amazing. We made a reservation here for 8 people. Normally we all love eating at places like this with artfully done food, but the presentation was poor and the quality of meals was lacking. The bathroom was pretty nasty as well. They did have a lot of staff on which was good to see and the service was good, but the quality of food and prices just made it hard to justify ever coming back.
Superb.food.service and wine list.even the 'byteh glass' options rocksed my world (the reds). Go for the shiraz, even if you feel like the pinot.
Good food, prices okay, wait staff good, room like a big warehouse so noisy at times. Sides a bit pricey.
Cooks need help, we were a table of 8 and only ordered mains, waited more than 45 minutes after ordering.
As a group we opted to not have dessert as some had come from the Channel, so they lost sales.
Officially the best steak you will find in Hobart, if not Tasmania! Eye fillet with Cox rub, doesn’t get any better.
We had a lovely meal here, staff were super friendly and helpful, they always made sure we had everything we needed including drinks which is a big plus!
All the food and cocktails were excellent but a special mention for the arancini balls, they were so delicious and definitely a must try!
Bloody amazing. We were here Christmas Eve 2022. Firstly the food is high quality but the service made it even better. Order the “baker” 700g - wow! My son has a lot of allergies and the chef and kitchen staff were unreal. Went over and above for sure. And the general service from Jackson our waiter was also top notch. We ate entrees mains and deserts and all were great. I would head back here as soon as we could when we come back to Tassie.
This place was a great surprise. Nice fit out and we could sit outside with our dog. Service was good and the food was really tasty. The steak with the coffee rub was excellent.
Everyone who comes to Tasmania must visit this Restaurant!
My son and I just finished having dinner in this restaurant. We are visiting Tasmania for the first time and we are very impressed with the quality of the food in general but ST ALBI exceded our expectations.
Special thanks to Juan Manuel one of the amazing waiters. He was absolutely professional and helpful.
Cool, trendy restaurant. Decent menu with amazing food as in everything was amazing! Large drinks list, polite and speedy staff. We will definitely be coming back
Wow
Great experience for our group
We had a great time
Fentastic crowd and staff were very helpful and friendly.
Our experience at St Albi was fantastic…
• the booking and confirmation system was very easy to use and accommodated our special requests
• we felt very welcome from the moment we arrived
• the staff were excellent and very attentive (without rushing us)
• the food arrived promptly and was absolutely delicious
• the servings were generous (no one left hungry)
• the restaurant was booked out but there was a comfortable space between tables - so the background noise was not overwhelming and allowed reasonably comfortable conversation.
• the prices were reasonable considering all of the above.
This wasn’t our first visit to St Albi, and it certainly won’t be our last!
Highly recommended for that special occasion!
Fabulous food and even better staff. Thanks for a lovely evening. We will definitely be back.
A great space but can feel a bit like an auditory overload for sensitive folk when it's busy.
