Sporties Hotel

We were touring Australia and stayed one night at Sporties in Launceston. The rooms are clean, but the furniture is a bit worn. But perfectly fine for the price. The staff is very friendly. The food is delicious. We cats were lucky and it was a steak evening. A beef steak with chips, salad, sauce and a beer was only $20.

As the Parmi connoisseur I am, Monday night Parmi & Pint night at Sporties Hotel caught my attention.

For $20 you get exactly what you’d expect!

I had the Meatlovers Parmi, thick slab of chicken with all the meaty toppings. Not over or under cooked. The beer batted chips were also delightful. Sadly they had ran out of both beverages I had asked for on the option menu. 7.5 / 10 on the Parmi. Great value

I must say that the Staff here are pretty good, especially one, Mel.
I have lunch here every Wednesday and she is friendly and very accommodating. If there were more staff at all venues like Mel the Publican would be always smiling.
Food is very consistent and the chips are lovely and hit, which is a particular 'bent' of mine.
In close proximity to the race track and the RSL.

Exceptional place to stay. Your own room, own bathroom even if it isn't an ensuite room.

Clean comfortable beds and respectable service.

Shout out to the cleaners for they do a great job. Unlike many other places in Launceston.

Only drawbacks are a little cold sometimes, perhaps best to have softer warmer blanket options or heaters and some doors are sticky and hard to shut easily.

Fantastic location and great cosy street views.

Highly recommended for accommodation in Launceston.

Will be returning often for my business and personal trips. It's a great place for both. Even has down stairs bar and restaurant options.

Great pub meals. Good atmosphere. Pleasant hotel attendant- we were there on a Tuesday lunchtime. See you again soon.

Absolutely appalling service! Whole family and I went to get dinner and we were served by a disgustingly mannered brunette (wearing dirty tracksuit pants) was feeding rude and sarcastic comments from the moment I walked in. I had given this hospitality worker no disrespect at all and to be treated this way is ridiculous. Even received the same treatment while my 80 year old grandmother ordered. Shameful

Very nice, cheap room. Surprisingly quiet. The layout is good, rooms are old fashioned and small, buy nice. Bed a little stiff. But overall, a nice place in town to stay, with excellent service

Good meals and good atmosphere. A couple of grotty looking bogan midgets had a huge punchup in the main doorway while we were there but they appeared to be sent packing by other patrons. Didn't appear to be any security about. Good pub though, I liked it.

It's strange that every room has its own bathroom, but why aren't they in the same room?

Staff are really kind & helpful. Accommodation is good. Private bathroom was advertised but is disconnected to the room down the hall. Power points are so low to the ground making it impossible to connect a charging block. Place is relatively clean

Great place, remodelled since last visit, very nice, modern, comfortable in all areas. Love the wood fire! Great service, meals looked as amazing as they always were, will be back for dinner in the near future.

Pub environment, good food, tried the chicken parmigiana and the porterhouse both tasty. Overall good experience. Location is the only negative.

Food is great and price is fair however a brunette lady working behind the bar was extremely rude to myself and my friends as soon as we entered the bar. The rest of the bar staff were extremely lovely.

Great place for everyone to enjoy. Awesome atmosphere and a warm welcome from all the staff is quarenteed as well as excellent service. The meals are top quality and recommended to anyone looking for a belly full.

A group of us went and had dinner here and watch a game of footy. The sports bar isn't the most welcoming place to go and is quiet dark.
We all ordered a parmi, and recieved a big chicken nugget. Service was ok, but nothing here makes you want to come back.

I had an ale in this fine establishment, not only was it cool, refreshing and pint sized they also had stools on which to park ones posterior and consume aforementioned beverage in relative comfort. Therefore I must rate this enterprise 5 stars for attaining the expected requirements of a pub. Worth a visit on these merits alone.

Great for a quick bite or meal. Friendly staff. Full range of seating options, outside on the footpath, inside, covered outside area. Good atmosphere.

Amazed that no LIGHT beer available. Only option MID strength. No non alcoholic beer available. Stuck in the past?
