Shamrock Hotel Hobart reviews
51I went to the shamrock the other day with a couple friends. The food was insanely good, and cheap, and fast. Will be back at every opportunity. /thread
Great atmosphere, and service, value and food. It's good for a group of people.
We went in without a booking, and the pub was packed on a Friday night. We were lucky to get a seat on the side.
I ordered the steak, and requested 2 sauces, the steak was not too grisleyc and was a decent portion size, and went the quality tasted good. My dining companion had the parma, he enjoyed that also. The staff were attentive on the side, they had a range of sauces available.
Brilliant steaks, great friendly service, traditional counter meal, great place. One of the few pubs they haven't ruined in recent years.
Food is delicious. And staff is super friendly and helpful. If you are looking something really good food, you are at the right place. The quantity is more and price is quite affordable. Ambiance is also really good. Also try the huge collection hot chillie sauce collection they have. Highly recommended
Just enjoyed an awesome scotch fillet steak at the Shamrock, it was certainly worth the walk here. Steak was cooked perfectly to my liking medium rare and the garlic seafood sauce was also nice. Great value
Nice. When ever i eat here i have enjoyed my experience. The food is very nice cheap, and is served quickly. Would recommend
Mostly basic fare menu wise with some innovations, British classics takes you back to your Grandparent’s. I was very disappointed with the Tas scallops plate. Fish is a better option
THE hotel to have a pub meal and a few drinks. Ambience warm and welcoming. Staff extremely friendly and obliging. Shame we don’t have it in Preston, Melbourne.
My son dined on the chicken nuggets and chips. Being 4 he had a huge feed. The other half and myself enjoyed the massive serving of chicken parma w/salad. Despite the rest of the table whinging about everything. It was a good place to take kids. I'd go back. Just not with them.
Staffs made me feel biased. I asked for a glass of water and old lady staff was so unhappy to serve me a glass of water (could see on her face). But she seemed too happy and smiling while talking to local people. Staffs should be taught to work in multicultural environment and respect people from other countries as well. Grow up guys, don’t judge people on the basis of nationality. Every Customer walking into your shop matters.
