Shambles Brewery reviews
50Cancelled Xmas party booked months prior. The explanation was that they got a bigger booking so just cancelled. Very uncool and unprofessional.
Good range of beers and service, in a comfortable but bustling atmosphere. The bar area often has live music, but the venue is acoustically unprepared.
This Brewery is another neat craft brewery located close to the centre of Hobart. They have a good range of beers and food options on offer. The venue is open and has a nice warmth to it, created by a wood fire near the bar. The beers don't have the same level of complexity of other better known craft breweries, however, it is evident that they are still experimenting with flavour combinations and styles, which will hopefully yeild good results.
We had a meal here tonight and it was freezing! The wood heater wasn't enough to heat the space.
Went to Shambles for a group dinner. Live music was cool but way too loud, way too early in such a small space. Food was ok but couldn't have any conversations so we left.
Good session ipa, the ipa had some diacetyl and was under-carbonated, the wallaby drumsticks were nice. Service good.
We came across Shambles Summer Ale on tap at Pearl and Co on Constitution Dock. Had a few sips, looked at each other and said “Whoa! What is that? ” We are not beer experts and quite illiterate on that score but we had to come back 2 more times to get a fix of this ale that smells and tastes something like wildflowers? Light, delicate and delicious! Unfortunately we cannot find it stocked anywhere on the mainland except Adelaide so I am telling you if you are visiting Tasmania, try it while you are there. Another great memory to add to your Tasmania collection and another serendipitous moment to savor when you are back on the mainland.
I hired the function room for my engagement party in November.
It was amazing. Made it such a perfect night.
The lovely gentleman we had at the private bar was wonderful and so polite.
The food and delicious it was a hit with all our guests. It was so much more than I expected.
It made for such a lovely night. I got such beautiful photos and the venue was set up beautifully with all the fairly lights.
Plus the ping pong table made for such a fun and entertaining night.
I would highly recommend this venue for your next function.
It was such a perfect night.
Which was all thanks the the venue and staff on that night.
Thank you.
Had some delicious beers! Thought we'd try out the infamous chips and OMG they did not disappoint. They're like a cactus stuffed with more cacti which has been lightly fried in a homeless man's sock. Like not a completely ruined sock though, one that has a couple of holes but is overall still workable so you get the additional emotional trauma of depriving the poor man of his favourite sock.
