Outstanding evening. Beautiful wine, perfectly matched with delicious food and all accompanied with the warmest of service.

I stayed there 4 nights. The water of the shower room was too hot. After complaining the owner Wendy told me it should not be a problem because it’s been there 14 years. It’s like saying a healthy person should never get sick because he has been healthy before. How ridiculous is it? I and my family were forced to use the dirty tub. We had to crouch into the tub to wash hair. Besides that, the dryer was out of order and guests had to air dry washed clothes in the deck. What a nightmare experience!

A group of ten for a high tea birthday. Lovely décor and the food was sensational. Best scones I have ever eaten, sandwiches were freshly prepared. Other delicacies were just as delightful. It was a very generous serving for each guest. I don't think anyone would have been able to eat dinner that evening we were all so full. Best high tea in Hobart in my opinion. Also better than one we had a couple of months ago at the highly renowned Fortnum and Mason in the UK. Well done Riversdale estate staff.

So, upset with #riversdaleestate where they have a Peter Rabbit Garden. They advertised that they are open Daily from 9-4: 30pm. We arrived with excited children. We entered into the gift shop and browsed while waiting to admission to the garden as per the sign.
We were then greeted by a rude employee asking how we go in.
We were told that it wasn’t open and we had to go. I pointed to the sign at the door that stated open daily to which the very annoyed employee said she was just waitress and was told to say they were closed. No apologies. She told us they were closed on Mondays despite the sign saying “open daily”.
We left feeling pretty awful and disappointed. Especially the kids, not just by their false advertising but their rude staff.
As interstate visitors, we have been shown nothing but hospitality from Tasmania until our experience today.
