Riversdale Estate French Bistro, High Tea Orangery & Peter Rabbit Garden reviews
44Enjoyed an excellent midweek lunch. The French Bistro is a wonderful experience, good food, outstanding views. Heaven in my mind!
Great views, Peter Rabbit garden and shop were amazing. The restaurant is nice and spacious my food was brilliant. Would have given 5 stars if kids meals were part of the menu and the price wasnt so expensive.
It was great experience. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming, wines and food were absolutely amazing. The lamb backstrap melted in mouth.
Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely French Bistro.
Beautiful spot and settings, had great time doing tasting.the supervisor who was doing tasting was amazing (sorry i forgot the name).
the food was average, i ordered the fish somehow the proto cake came with it was completely cold.but the tasting at the end made the day.
Beautiful food and very good service. It's situated in a delightful location and despite overcast weather has a wonderful view.
Beautiful decor, but disappointing "Unicorn Hi Tea". Menu is not child focussed enough, and overpriced. Cannot understand why only the adults had a meringue unicorn horn! A disappointed 6 year old! I gave her mine. We paid extra for a glass of champagne, on top of the already $65 for adults. Coffees were cold and sent back, and we were finished by the time they returned. 6y old was given a hard to handle, hot chocolate, in an adult sized cup which needed adult supervision. I also found it hard to believe that Granny and 6y old could not enter the "Peter Rabbit Garden" because they didn't have a $2 coin on them! Surely after spending $255 it could have been overlooked. This should be free to customers! A beautiful environment, but very disappointing!
Friendly helpful staff, very accommodating. Gorgeous decor and furnishings. The high tea is delicious, highly recommend.
Very nice found it a tad odd that there were only myself and one other male there, the food was great
Great tastings. Wonderful choice if Wines. Stupendous coffee, cakes a D scones for morning tea. Elegant setting.
We went for Afternoon tea which was absolutely delicious.
However, staff could have acknowledged us on arrival instead of leaving us standing for several minutes.
The Peter Rabbit garden was so overgrown and very untidy. Very unkempt and disappointing. What a shame!
Had lunch one day - food great. Back couple of days later for lunch and a show - show excellent, food meh. Staff good
Beautiful property, really stunning views however the service was a complete let down with racist undertones.
It was pouring outside and Emily at the bar/restaurant refused to serve us or let us in and was really short and rude.
So completely disappointing that we are still subject to crude racism in this new decade.
Horrible and degrading.
Beautiful views great wine. We missed lunch as they don't always serve. Check your day if going for lunch.
Beautiful outlook, nice meal and delicious wine. We had a cool and refreshing Pinot Gris. We went to see a Dinner Theatre Show - Faulty Towers - the actors, particularly Manuel and Basil, were great - laugh out loud funny.
Surprisingly Bad. Service slow and incompetent, took more than 1 hour to get served then another to receive our meal. Meals arrived cold and didn’t reflect the price of what you are paying. The decor was shocking! Would not recommend
We stopped by for afternoon tea, what a good decision that was! Hot chocolate and scones with a wonderful view of the grounds and water. The cricket pitch was freshly mowed!
The cakes were divine! We sat outside basking in the sunshine and taking in the amazing scenery. Gorgeous location and wonderful establishment. Thank you!
Not sure the point of advertising a close time of 5pm when the kitchen closes at 3.30pm. Arrived at 3.40pm and wouldn’t even serve tea.
I didn’t stay In Accomodation, but went to the Faulty towers lunch, the show was great and the actors where very good. Very disappointed with he food, pumpkin soup, dried roast chicken with a very thin gravy and un crisp duck fat potatoes, why they advertised them am unsure as the potatoes where very under whelming, not alot of taste and a tiny dessert Eton mess. Wouldn’t go to another theme event there but will maybe for the French bistro.
Mother’s Day Lunch- Leathery Overcooked mass produced Lamb or a very small serve of desert Coq au Vin. Other courses suggested that everything was pre-cooked, and left in a warming draw.
We were very disappointed as I understand the
High Tea is very good.
