Puddleduck Vineyard reviews
61Excellent experience. Ask for Nick, top guy. Although he did remind me of a guy called Alfonso from Woolworths
Good place to stop for a interesting talk on the various wines produced here, and a fabulous tasting plate while tasting the wines.
A lovely tasting plate with wine tasting a host who was knowlehable on the wines.lovely wines brought a couple of bottles of wines as they dont sell them anywhere else.
Lots space.ducks every where.tours and cheese platter is the best.taste the wine. I had hit chocolate.lovely yummy cake and coffee available too.staff friendly.indoor dining or outside beside dam full ducks for entertaining.wedding's proposal perfect. I think.
The wines were great, service was helpful & friendly, however the food menu leaved a lot to be desired. Not a lot of options and quite simple choices like toasted sandwiches. We were chasing a proper lunch so went to another place nearby. Worth the trip for the wine tasting element
Great space, great staff and great wine! The only thing missing is a decent coffee. American style plunger coffee just isn’t the same as an Aussie flat white. Would love to see additional barista made coffee options on the menu for those that don’t drink alcohol. Otherwise an excellent experience!
One of the best wineries we visited in Tasmania. Lovely staff & hospitality. The wines are absolutely beautiful.
Paddle is a rip off paid $20 where other wineries supply the same amount of wine as free tasting give the puddle duck a miss.
Recently visited with family visiting from Adelaide. Excellent experience, learnt alot and wines were fabulous xx
Great place to spend a weekend afternoon.drinks reasonably priced weather can be a bit of a problem but none of us humans have any say or control over that.only complaint i have was that the bbq in our spot was not easy to light or control. Other than that absolutely loved it
Super cute and lovely winery not far out of Hobart. Enjoy some yummy wines and cheese on the heated deck. Watch the ducks, ducklings and goose swim around as you sample the wines that make Tasmania famous. You can even get some duck food and feed the tiny headed fowls. Truly an enjoyable time.
Visited this winery as part of a birthday group. We were told tasting platter contained generous samples for which we paid $20 per platter. ($5 extra because we had been seated inside! Hardly a sufficient answer for the extra cost) Each glass contained only 50 MLS at best. Not much of a taste of any of the wines. Order a glass of wine instead.
A nice relaxing venue to have a byo meal and drink on site purchased wines. Wheelchair friendly site. Lots of room for groups of people and different seating arrangements in different areas to suit your mood.
Staff very friendly, food was great just sitting watching the ducks and geese go about the daily life was so relaxing. Loved it will definitely go back
The selection of wines are really tasty and there's a story to each of them. The staff were exceptionally entertaining and helpful. Special shout out to Ian! Puddleduck is a lovely vineyard that's kid friendly, with a playground and toys to keep the little ones entertained. They have gorgeous grounds and encourage Reverse BYO so you can bring your own food for a picnic. They also offer a good variety of bites and food along with their scrumptious wines.
Called into this beautiful family owned vineyard for a quick bar tasting. Staff were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, passionate & carried the values of the business proudly! Thoroughly impressed with the service, selection of wines & appreciated the array of duck themed souvenirs. Looking forward to returning the next time I’m in Hobart!
Not overly impressed, firstly we were charged 2.5x more than any other vineyard we went to for a tasting $12.50 compared to $5 at every other vineyard in the area. The staff member who served us looked like she didn't want to be there and you barely got a taste of the wine as it was poured from a nip pourer that barely worked. Would be the last place on my list to recommend to tourists that collect a rental car from my workplace.
My daughter had her Hens day at Puddleduck, just beautiful, in summer, a lovely place to take nibbles, enjoy a glass of wine or 2 or 3
There's a play area for children too.
The winery and surrounds are a beautiful setting for a day spent sipping their wonderful range of wines. The staff were super friendly, it's a real family affair so you're made to feel very welcomed. Our only regret was that we didn't have long enough there. You can't find Puddleduck wines anywhere else so be sure to stop in and console Darren and the team on the unfortunate demise of their beloved pet duck "Lucky", who was not so, over a few glasses.or bottles.
Beautiful vineyard and excellent wines. Really family orientated and super kid friendly. There's a wonderful playground out back for the kids that's shaded and ducks to feed. Really nice outside area with bring your own food. Highly recommend a visit.
