The lavender ice-cream and blueberry pancakes were beautiful! Spent a bit too much in the gift shop, but then you can never have too much lavender! Highly Recommend.

Hard to give the place an accurate rating as it was the off season and no lavander in flower. But the Atlantic salmon fish and chips was first class.

Such a beautiful place. Only about 2 hrs drive from Hobart. So many options if you want to eat lavender. Lovely lavender desert. Must try lavender tea. Will visit again.

Great place for a stop to eat food food and drink a hot cup of coffee. Inside the cafe there is a shop, where you can buy lavender products

We stopped here yesterday for a beautiful lunch of their Tasmanian scallop chowder in a creamy bacon & sweet corn chowder with toasted pride bread & found it was delicious. We also had a lovely hot coffee with it. We decided that as it was so good we'd go back today for lunch also. Today we decided on the Tasmanian Tasting Plate for 2 with it's range of gourmet Seafood, cured meats, pate's, cheeses, fruits, crackers & bread. It also comes with 2 fabulous Chutney varieties with Lavender in them. There's also a Pickled onion on a side salad which is also amazing. This tasting plate was brilliant & everything went together perfectly. My husband is a chef & was very impressed by it. We enjoyed another lovely hot coffee. Also purchased some of the Chutneys & bought one of their big Vanilla Slices for afternoon tea. The staff are lovely & helpful. Highly Recommend.

This place is full of lavender
Lavender food, soaps, fragrances and everything you can imagine is in lavender color.

Food:
Tasman fish is served fried. It looked like kfc chicken

Tomato soup was bit sour but refreshing.

Do walk around here after your meal and spend some time near lake and lavender plants at the restaurant’s backyard.

One can spend 1-2 hrs here easily.

Majestic setting, nice restaurant, beautiful lavender farm, lush green open spaces with waterbodies around, amazing food and the lavender shake was oh so yum, not to be missed when going to Port Arthur, it’s a few kms before the historic site on your left when driving from Hobart!

Lovely food, interesting use of lavender in the food and drink. Outside seating is nice and provides some nice picture opportunities in the lavender fields. Be sure to visit the shop and try the lavender shortbread; it's lovely and crumbly.

We visited the Port Arthur Lavender Farm in early January 2020. The lavender was in full bloom. The bees were very busy there at the time of our visit!
We enjoyed seeing the many things at the shop that are produced using the essence of the lavender.
After wandering the fields we returned to the cafe and absolutely enjoyed our first ever lavender ice-cream cone - delicious and a fitting end to our short stay here.

Food decent, slightly over priced, to be expected for road side cafe. Lavender farm very small. Worth a stop, but don t have hopes too high. Ice cream was great.

I ordered the eggs Florentine. It was served with, what seemed to be, a litre of sauce. I could not eat the dish.

Try the iconic lavender ice cream and some dessert available. Don't forget to catch photos of small lavender farm outside but it's really cold

Delicious Lavender milkshake, a very good fish and chips too. My partner was a little disappointed on the chowder but they just weren’t a good match, it’s probably very nice, she did like her lavender hot chocolate. Overall a cute little place with a nice view, if you come at the right time.

Nice set up. Heaps of bees so not a place to visit if allergic. I spent the visit on the car yet the others I was travelling with enjoyed it. Not as stunning as the brochure makes it look.

Everything with a lavender touch. There are gift items, food, drinks, ice cream, and many more lavender products available here. There is a small lavender farm behind the store. I liked the lavender ice cream and milk shake here. You don't really get to try a lavender flavoured ice cream outiside.

A convenient break stop with a lavender field

Granted it is not the best nor the largest lavender field, however Lavender Farm Cafe is a convenient break stop on your way to Port Arthur. It houses a bright coffee area, adjacent to the retail section which specialises in lavender and local Tasmanian products. The lavender farm is opposite on the other side of the car park. It is pretty enough for a selfie or romantic photo.

The farm itself if very small and seems like an eye wash when compared to Bridestowe Lavender farm near Launceston. The cafe is great and their food and service was faultless but nothing special. Maybe stop over on the way to Tasman Peninsula or Port Arthur but definitely not worth driving down there just to visit this place.

From the moment you arrive the smell of lavender is in the air. Highly recommend coming during its full bloom - summer/January.
We arrive around 2pm and it was buzzing with people. We thought that food service was going to take a while as the restaurant was so busy but I was wrong.
From ordering to being served was about 20mins. That is OUTSTANDING! And the food OMG! Perfectly cooked, super fresh and delicious.
It was a sensory experience on another level. I would highly recommend everyone to stop here before heading into Port Arthur Historical site
