From the moment we arrived the staff were just excellent. Jenny greeted us when we got there and made check in a breeze.

The room was very clean and comfortable.

Dinner at the restaurant was excellent and the food 10 out of 10.

Thanks to Jenny and all the staff at Pedders for making our stay perfect.

Highly recommend this place to stay.

Amanda had great customer service from the moment we walked in we felt looked after. The surrounds of the environment were unreal and the view from our window was perfect.

The food was excellent, the laksa soup my partner had was exceptional especially for being in the middle of no where we were impressed with the quality of food produce.

Amanda was a stand out, all the staff were helpful and multitasking and making sure everything ran smoothly which it did.

Service was excellent. We were greeted and served by Sarah, who provided us with a friendly smile and first class efficient service, she could not have done any more. The meal, wine and coffee were excellent. The outlook over Lake Pedder is breath taking. Can't wait to return.

Great, clean and simple rooms, fantastic staff, beautiful views, amazing food. All food is very reasonably priced and comes in quite large portions. Staff are all lovely and helpful. Amazing view from the dining room. Highly recommend visiting Gordon Dam while you're here.

This was by far the worst room we've slept in during our Tassie trip. The water was dripping somewhere behind the wall, one couldn't open the window blinds to let some air in due to a strong street light outside. One chair only in a double room, the shower wouldn't fit a heavier set human, the cupboard smelled like it hasn't been aired for a year. The lodge restaurant has beautiful views, true but we're definitely never coming back to stay a night. 4 star hotel? I wonder by which standard?

Food at restaurant was fantastic. Reasonably priced. Room is comfortable. Be nice if there was a fan when it's warm. Shower was nice and hot and the shower head was actually high enough!

Million dollar views, great hospitality team and good value food and wine. Staff here are wonderful and the vibe is super friendly. Considering they have a captive clientele- food and wine prices are reasonable. Rooms are very clean with a cool 70s vibe and modern bathroom. Great as a launching pad for adventures or just sit in the lounge and soak in that view.

We have stayed here three times now and each time there have been different managers. The current manager was a let down. He totally ignored people waiting at the bar, didn’t support his staff and clearly didn’t want to be there. I felt really sorry for the staff who are all trying their best with limited resources. The rooms were upgraded a few years ago and are sufficient. The restaurant used to be good but the menu is much more basic these days. No salad, no variety. We had nice breakfasts each day but my fish on the first night tasted soapy and odd. I didn’t finish it.
I love this area and just wish a manager would come along who is willing to put a bit of effort in to the place. Maintain the rooms, adopt some basic environmentally friendly policies and procedures, train the bar staff, answer the phone and engage in a little bit of customer service!

Stopped for lunch and a coffee after visiting the Gordon River Dam. Great lunch menu; had the Wagyu Burger and the Fish and Chips. The coffee was excellent. Service was quick and the food came quickly. Looks like it'd be a lovely spot for an evening drink as there was a big fire and a pool table. Will definitely visit again!

Been there twice in 5 weeks. Great atmosphere. Rooms were fine.
Meals were a bit of a let down on both occasions. Both times eggs Benedict eggs were over cooked and both times I got spinach after asking that it not be on the plate.
First time parmy was very over cooked. Second visit chips were good but fish was from a box and tasted very ordinary.
Love the place but food isn't great especially for the price.

One of the most beautiful and heavenly places to stay at and dine with the loveliest of people and best food. 12 out of 10 for the epitome of wonderful scenery and walking and kayaking as well as climbing a few mountains same. A definite winner all round. A must.

We wanted to travel to the Gordon Dam and this was the only place to stay nearby. It was a particularly wet day so the warm lounge was very welcome. The room was ok. Sheets were crisp and clean but the room itself could do with some tlc. A little shabby. We had dinner in the restaurant. The staff were very friendly and there was a good selection of food. My husband’s ribs were excellent. I had the seafood linguine which was tasty but a bit short on the seafood! Two prawns and three scallops with some other white fish. The real downside of our visit however was the fact that the smoking area was right outside our room, with an ashtray. At 11.45pm my husband asked the loud drunk bloke right outside our door if he could go elsewhere to talk at that time of night. This is not rocket science. We cannot be the first people to be affected by this. Please please move the smokers to an area away from the rooms!

A beautiful part of Tasmania, pity we had a very overcast day. Accommodation was a bit old and antiquated, but we only stayed one night.
