Pedder Wilderness Lodge reviews
56Still haven't checked out, our second time back. The staff were very accommodating and tried their best to help all.
What a fantastic place, so beautiful. We had a lovely room lakeside. Service by staff amazing, what hard workers they are. Loved going out and seeing the dams and the walks.
BRILLIANT!
Self contained unit was clean, tidy and comfortable.
Heating was appreciated with the weather!
Pool was perfect.
Dinner was amazing. Staff were fantastic, (our group all work in service industry so we appreciate good service and the team on Monday and yesterday definitely delivered.)
We'll definitely be back!
Great use of old construction accommodation
Good bar
Fireplace in bar
V good meals
We stayed here after seeing Gordon Dam. What a location! Beautiful vistas, clean accomodation and the amenities were wonderful. We traveled as a family of 4 (we traveled with 2 adult children) and as far as accomodation goes this was the most fun. We played pool in the bar room and badminton in the gymnasium.
The food in the dinning room was amazing as was the evening star gazing after.
We did a little exploring around the grounds, it was too pretty not to.
In hindsight I should have taken photos of accomodation and food but I was too busy having fun and forgot. The Bar area was such a lovely place to sit and relax in the evening.
We only stayed one night and wished it was longer.
Out of this world every thing about Lake Pedder is awsome, staff, food, restaurant, scenery, we loved it, and no road kill after Maydenna to the Gordon dam. Accommodation.
VERY NOISY NO SOUNDPROOF AT ALL
paper thin wall 2 star motel room at its best
asked reception to help and they just said knock on the wall and hope for the best pretty much
nice location would be only reason to stay here
Very good food and great service, also a bar and lounge over looking the lake. We had the Nachos, and the lady next to us had the seafood basket. It was huge, lots to eat. We also had the ice chocolate, a great drink.
We will be back. I have already recommended it to so many people. The self catering unit was so worth it, for the space and good refreshed facilities. Bar, restaurant and deck were lovely. Food was good, but I prefer quality over quantity.
The food is delightfully delicious! And reasonably priced too! We got the octopus entree which was faultless, parmie and risotto and the sticky date which was one of the best I’ve ever eaten!
Beautiful views, stunning in fact. Great food, friendly and helpful staff, great cabin so very highly recommended.
Beautiful mountain lodge with amazing views over the lake while you enjoy equally amazing breakfast, lunch or dinner. The rooms are simple, cosy and warm! Everything you need Very friendly and helpful staff! Definitely worth staying to explore the surrounding area.
Great place to stay if you're looking to do a lot of bushwalking. Unfortunately, the Mt Eliza/Anne starting point is an hour's drive from the lodge. The food was great value, and the dining experience was enhanced by the great view of Lake Pedder. The rooms are cosy and well equipped, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. There is a recreational center featuring a pool, badminton court, and a well equipped gym. Overall a great value place to visit while in Tas.
Nice place. Couldn't spend more than a night. The morning breakfast was enhanced by the beautiful view.
Beautiful food with an amazing view. Staff was very friendly and we had enjoyed playing some board games. Defence recommended
Best restaurant for about 100km. Nice view over the lake and good food and coffee. Not immediately obvious from outside that this is open to the public but it is.
The vegetables where excellent, although where a bit short on. The smell of the wilderness was very perfumee, never smelt anything like it and I have seen some bush.
Stunning scenery, restaurant has good variety at restaurant prices. Rooms very ordinary and disappointing, clean though out dated. Have a captive audience as only place there.
Excellent stay, only wish it were longer. If you imagine a typical lodge as being somewhere you can chill on a nice lounge in front of an open fire with a whiskey or glass of red, then this place is for you. Only stayed on night in a lake view room (recommended) room was clean and very comfy, food at the restaurant was amazing (Beef Cheeks) and service was genuinely friendly. Having fuel out here was a bonus too!
