Orford Blue Waters Hotel

Family holiday dinner here again. Never had a bad meal here and service is always efficient and with a smile.

What an experience! And not in a good way! We were a group of 4: 2 adults, 1 teenager and 1 child. First up: I ordered salmon off the menu but was told they had no salmon and that I could have flounder instead. However, I chose the lemon pepper squid SALAD (served with a side of chips and lemon lime aioli, as stated on the menu). While waiting we watched a staff member delivering a salmon meal to another staff member seated next to us.no salmon? The squid arrived on a LARGE bed of chips, with a SMALL spoonful of 'salad', and plain tartare. Second: we decided to order dessert for all of us. The mango cheesecake was mousse on a hard base; not good. The banana split was missing the choc topping that was ordered; not brilliant but ok. The choc cake was smothered in extremely sour raspberry sauce; overpowered and average. The child's icecream, ordered with strawberry topping arrived with banana topping; really? ! Plus, we were all given SOUP spoons for our desserts!
Just a suggestion, but maybe there was a language barrier with the guy we ordered from?

Overall.edible food, nice outlook but very, very average on every other score and won't rush back.

Stopped off to have a meal. The location is great with the dining room looking out to the water. The food was lovely, service great. Being a hotel they have all the usual facilities. Would I go there again sure would.

Room was clean, and our bed was comfortable. Do get a bit of road noise in the morning. Tavern attached, so good pub food available. There is not a lot to choose from in area at reasonable rates and comfort.

Awesome location, food and service. Great steak and can't go past the seafood chowder on a cold day.

Lovely fresh, clean and bright room. Comfy and soft bed. Fantastic hot shower. Well located right near the water with lovely walking track. I unfortunately had very loud neighbors that kept me awake until about 1am, but this was the only negative (and nothing the venue could've done.) Would definitely stay again.

Food is amazing! 10/10 highly recommend
Fillet steak is soft and juice, fries is crunchy
Main special is creamy, everything is perfect!

What an amazing meal great staff and clean fast friendly service would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a huge filling delicious meal will be 100% happy and satisfied. Thankyou will be back next tie were up this way for sure.

Pretty poor in general, 1 hour to receive a parmi that wasn’t very good. Not good enough I think.

Rooms were quiet and very clean. Good quality towels and linen. Wi fi reception didn't reach all the way to the room. The kettle element was burnt so the tea/coffee had a burnt taint.

Had lunch there was nice food played some pool and then a few bucks in the pokies very few machines though

We arrived and realized that the wifi was not working (we had booked especially this place due to availability of the wifi).
The owner said there was an issue with the internet provider since the day before and could not do anything about it. Was quite rude on the phone. We were excepting at least a commercial gesture from him, and after reading other reviews of wifi not working properly we understood that this must be a recurrent problem and nothing is being communicated about it before hand.
Quite expensive in the end for what you get.

Great rooms, excellent customer service. Hotel is well managed and the restaurant is great. Highly recommend!

Good value. Really nice rooms with private decks overlooking. The water. Great pub grub and beer garden

Big room, clean, great view, though WIFI not so strong, we just loved it
Till the next morning, we woke up freezing, turned out the electricity in our room was turned off, somehow!

We called the manager and we just amazed how good they handled the issue, it was great service.
We definitely will go back here again

Convenient location rooms all ground floor view over park to water. Very clean cabin style room with small deck and outside table and chairs. Good value friendly staff. Hotel meals very good. Will go again good value.

Had a seafood platter for two for lunch, my partner had to run out to the toilet directly after eating, and then threw up again in the car park. Squid wasn't cooked. Fish batter was too thick and not cooked properly. Scallops were over cooked. Quantity was not worth the price tag by a long shot.
Wont be back for a meal.

Great place to stay on the east coast. Rooms have been recently renovated, and are immaculate. Beautiful food in the restaurant. Quiet and private, with great parking. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Big thank you to Carrie who manages the accommodation who made our stay wonderful

Great to see that the Orford Blue Waters has lost all of the 80's shades of blue (outside and inside). The rooms were fresh, nicely presented and larger than expected. We were on a cycling tour and staff went out of their way to provide equipment to assist us with servicing our bicycles. The views of the river are superb (from both the dining & hotel rooms prior to sunset) and the pub meals were all well received.

Very good range in bottle shop. Good meals and good service. Can't comment on rooms because as a local never stayed in them but they look good from the outside
