Orana House reviews
54The place is nice and clean. Rooms looks elegant and welcoming. The service is friendly and definitley top notch. Highly recmended.
Cosy, and beautiful stay, breakfast was delicious and the beds are the most comfortable I've slept on in years! Thanks again:)
Absolutely beautiful. Perfect place for a quiet getaway. Breakfast included & staff were amazing. Highly recommend.
We really enjoyed staying at Orana house, it is a beautiful house beautifully furnished and clean. Our host Pauline went out of her way to make our stay special. Breakfast was included in the price which was very reasonable and Pauline's carrot cake was to die for. We had a standard queen room, which in hindesite was a bit small for our weeks stay. If we went again we would definately choose a bigger room. Having said that it was still lovely.
What a beautiful way to end our Tasmania adventure. About 12 minutes to the airport, Orana House is a truly beautiful place to stay. Pauline is the penultimate host! We could not fault her or the house.
From the well appointed rooms (adorned in tasteful antiques) to the home made afternoon tea and Anzac biscuits.
Thank you for sharing this piece of history.
Pauline was a friendly and caring host. Ask her to teach you Mah Jong! Breakfast was above expectations and location for the Coal Valley wineries was perfect. Heritage house embraced its history. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Wonderful accomodation. Well placed comfortable rooms with dining room for breakfast prepared by wonderful hostess Pauline.
The atmosphere of Orana House has the feel of the classic English manor. Brilliant hostess in the form of Pauline who looked after our every need for our 2 night stay. Breakfast was excellent and served almost as soon as you arrived in the dining room. Will definitely return in the future.
Such a wonderful B&B experience with the most beautiful and kind host. House itself is wonderfully kept, breakfast is first class and the room was comfy and like home for our 3 night stay. Right near a great cafe and playground.
I can't say enough about the setting. The antique furniture. The immaculate home. The presentation is stunning. Comfortable bed. Lovely staff who went above and beyond. 10/10. Loved it.
We had only one night stay, however it was one of the best experiences. The room, the environment and service were all top. I wish to thank owner for her efforts to keep this heritage house in such a great shape!
Recently stayed for 3 nights. Outstanding experience. Well located. Room was very comfortable. Breakfast was yummy and served hot. Pauline, our host, was friendly and most helpful. Would definitely stay there again.
Most amazing stay! The room was really comfortable. The service was exceptional! Pauline is one of the most friendly and inviting hosts we've ever had the opportunity of meeting.
We got the pleasure of meeting the owner of Orana House Pauline, and she was such a warm and helpful hostess! She gave us a sumptuous breakfast everyday and lots of useful tips in travelling to Bruny Island, and we are so grateful we have chosen to stay in Orana House. The whole 3 days had exceeded our expectations, and we would love to go back whenever we return to Hobart. Highly recommended!
Pauline is the loveliest hostess and made our stay at Orana House very comfortable and made sure we had everything we needed. The Ronald Pearce room is lovely, spacious and cosy, the bed was so comfortable and the whole house itself is rich in character and history. We then enjoyed a delicious cooked breakfast in the morning. Thank you Pauline for what was the loveliest stay at Orana House. Tamara and Darragh?
Lovely location with views across the water to Kunyanyi. I love the photography here. And Orana House and gardens are quite beautiful.
Orana House was a true relaxing holiday in a premises with character and charm. The hosts took extra care to ensure my stay with my teenage son was fun and comfortable. Looking forward to staying again.
What an historic house should be, just beautiful. Comfy bed, fabulous amenities, easy access. The rooms are named from the children of the original owners, as are the breakfast tables. No disputes there. Highly recommended.
We stayed here around 20 years ago and have revisited Orana House as we have such good memories. There have of course been new owners over this period, but the house remains the same. Big, solid, welcoming in itself, and a very pleasant place to stay when visiting Hobart. It's self check-in these days and you'll find a folder with your name on it as you enter. This provides your room key, directions and everything else you need for your stay. Your payment will have been taken from your guaranteeing credit card a few days earlier, so you don't need to meet your hosts. You may meet them at breakfast the next morning, when a hot breakfast is served in the guest diningroom. We stayed in the Eric Pearce Room which was small but nevertheless very comfortable. The private bathroom was a nice size. There is also a nice guest loungeroom.
Self check-in was simple, rooms exceeded our expectations and the house had a warm and inviting atmosphere.delicious breakfast was offered daily and owners were always very friendly.orana house is the perfect place to stay.would highly recommend for anyone visiting hobart.
