Molly Malones Irish Pub reviews
46 Nice place but as most restaurants u need to do better in way of drinks for diabetics. 1 option is not enough.
It's not hard in this fmday an age
The service has gone to complete and utter disarray since covid.i’m absolutely shocked with how rude and inconsiderate the staff are.and not to mention then appalling food that they are allowed to serve.absolutely disgusting would never ever recommend and will never be returning!
Had American cheese burger w/ chips which was special of the day. Burger was unreal with pickles and beer to wash down with.
Fantastic meal even down to the gravy was great.
No salt and pepper around and drinks a little slow coming to the table.
Overall good visit
Expensive & average parma, have never seen another pub trying to flog off a "half parma" on the menu before. Napoli sauce tasted and looked like tomato paste
Only gets one star because I have to. Ridiculous rule on must be vaccinated to enter yet their vaccinated staff were off with covid and couldn’t put lunch on.
Service staff were lovely and accommodating us as walk in customers on what seemed like a busy night for them.
Best schnitzel in AGES. REAL vegatables (not frozen). My partner had the vegetable lasagna and found it tasty and a good serve. Great service. We live in Burnie but will make the effort to return for a great meal.
Wonderful service and excellent food. Thank you to the staff at Molly's for making our anniversary special
My wife won a $50 meal voucher off the radio sea fm and we went last night. Roast lamb was the best ever, tender with no fat and the vegetables were even so tasty. My wife had pulled pork and we would both highly recommend the meals for taste, quality, and serving size. Staff so friendly and great atmosphere with the open fire. Definitely be going back.
Have been here multiple times now and enjoyed every meal. Great service, lovely food and they have fantastic lunch time deals that we'll return for regularly
Presentation of the establishment, staff and food is all aces. Staff demeanour is professional and food presentation top notch.
Taste is as you'd expect from somewhere that presents like this.
Top Score
Great location for pre concert/ shows. Table service is a new welcome touch, pleasant and efficient service drinks as well. Three at the table all meals very good.
I feel really bad rating this as a 3 overall as the staff were a 10 out of 5. They were so attentive and genuine without being over the top and were so accommodating. Without doubt the best customer service we had in Tasmania - anywhere. The food itself though was very very average. Think your standard pub fair of schnitzel, burgers, ribs, steaks etc.the atmosphere was a little lacklustre and really just did not cut it for an Irish pub. I cannot praise the staff enough but the food really needs to step up a few notches.
Made a booking for the two course Sunday baked dinner special at $19. Tonight's was pork with all the usual suspects in attendance - crackling, roast potatoes, pumpkins, carrots, beans and gravy. My only thought would be that I think the meat serve was a bit on the light side - two small pieces, I feel 3 would have been more appropriate.
However, the meal was very tasty and with desert being rhubarb and pear crumble with ice cream we did not leave hungry.
Atmosphere was open with dark wood decor typical of irish pubs, place was clean, bar served cold cider and the staff were all very attentive and friendly.
Ordered take away steak and veggies. Helpful service. Food ready on time and perfectly cooked. Highly recommended and 10% off for takeaway.
I've just finished my meal before heading back to the mainland, and man do I wish I could take this pub with me. The calamari was like butter, amazing pub bread with garlic butter and a next level steak sandwich, with so many onion rings we couldn't finish (mainlanders only give you 10 or so). Will definitely be back next time we visit. 10/10, would recommend to anyone needing a feed before travelling or just checking out the local scene. Thanks guys!
Very friendly staff. Always spraying & cleaning services where someone had been previously been sitting. And they make yummy sandwiches.
Standard pub, with a standard menu. Service was very good and we really like that some of their meals (including the roast and ribs and wings that we ordered) came in a smaller or a larger serving. Wings were a bit spicy and the potato and pumpkin for the roast seemed like they had been cooked a while ago, but the roast pork was very tender. Bit disappointed at how few Tasmanian options there were on the drinks menu.
Top place to have a great meal, cooked to perfection, friendly staff.definitely returning when I come back to Tasmania
