Macquarie Manor Hotel reviews
57Very friendly owner and lovely nice motel. Love this place atmosphere and nice breakfast are provided
The manor is a really comfortable, clean and convenient place! I’m really impressed. Chris, the owner is a really lovely guy. He was flexible and very accomodating with our needs. Would definitely stay here again.
Was a pleasure staying there.
The rooms are so big.
Chris the owner Barista cook cleaner and entertainment was awesome.
Highly recommend it.
Raggy the cat is the best welcome to Tasmania you could have. Yum breakky and so well located. Room was bright and huge. Excellent value for money, thanks Chris!
Loved our stay at the Manor, majestic accommodation, in a central location, walking distance to everything. Great night's sleep, so quiet thanks to the double glazing and super comfy king size bed.
Good sized and very clean rooms, well stocked, kind and friendly people manning the desk, great continental breakfast, and lovely old style setting with heaps of wood features and antiques.
Stayed in Hobart for one night in March, had one of the larger suites with myself and mom in the Queen Heritage and my dad had the Corporate room.
Queen Heritage was spacious, light - filled with big windows, easy to open for fresh air, nice verdant plants. Good coffee maker with heaps of pods for us fo use. Comfortable couches and bed. Had tall ceilings that made it feel like we had nearly two floors.
Corporate room substantially smaller but had all your requirements, including a little window to peek out on the street.
Had a very classic feel, loved the antiques all around and the spare room in the front.
The people working there made the place, helpful and friendly.
Of note, parking is super scarce! Book a parking spot if you need one!
Good accommodation with a inviting staff. Chris was helpful to us as newly arrived vacationers. Good continental breakfast each monring, with gluten options! Great central location with parking.
We stayed in the family room and it was so spacious. Seperate room for the kids with possibility to sleep 7 people. Breakfast was delightful and the staff was very helpful. Would definitely come back again.
Great place to stay the rooms are huge. Easy walk down to markets & waterfront. And a great breakfast in the morning.
Nice & cosy hotel, clean, comfortable, quiet. Salamanca Markets and CBD shops within 2min walk. Breakfast was delightful
Great value for money. The guy that works there around 35 ish is really awesome. Always lovely and up for a chat. Makes you feel so welcome
The hotel has been well maintained and is in a good location. The breakfast was extremely satisfying with croissants, cereal, variety of breads, juices and yoghurt. The management is amazing and everyone was a pleasure to talk to.
The room and sheets were clean as well
Best place I stayed in all of Tasmania! The building itself is historic, with high vaulted ceilings and decor to match. My room was incredibly spacious and well appointed, and was the only hotel in all of Australia with free hanging wooden hangers. Location also could not be better, super close to Salamanca and the MONA ferry, as well as the city center. And last, but probably most importantly, the staff is AMAZING. Loved the breakfast as well.
Great location:)
well-maintained!
Simple but nice breakfast, will find everything you need, milk and cereal, fruit juice, bread & jam and Tasmania honey, croissants and butter, and yoghurt!
And super helpful and friendly staffs ^^
Beautiful
Comfortable. We'll priced. Perfect location. Great breakfast. Limited parking at 15 dollars per night. Lovely staff. History and ghost stories.
Stayed in one of the basement rooms a while ago, a real experience, proper antique furniture and ambience. If I get the chance I'll stay there again.
Stayed here over long weekend. Paid $308 per night which had to be paid as soon as we checked in. BEWARE CHECK THE ROOM ALLOCATED TO YOU BEFORE HANDING OVER ANY MONEY. Stayed in The Heritage Room #7. These are the defects found with the room.
PAINT PEELING OFF THE CEILING
HOLES IN THE WALL BY THE BED.
BROKEN FLOOR TILES IN THE BATHROOM.
GALVANISED BRKT ON WALL IN BATHROOM FOR NO REASON.
Tried to speak about these problems with the owner /manager on check out but he would not speak to me. Phoned up the following day but was told he is out. Left my phone # but no return call still waiting waiting waiting
