Lark Distillery

Beautiful whisky without a doubt and very knowledgeable and friendly staff. I would have appreciated some more affordable and better selected tasting flights however. Now on the not-so-whisky related side though - while the space is really beautiful and cosy, it’s a little cold? And oh dear, who’s choosing the music! From Meghan Trainor to Miley Cyrus and Ariana Grande. ‍️ With tasteful whisky and tasteful setting, someone should put a little more effort into choosing some tasteful music too. It’s all in the detail!

I've been a fan of Forty Spotted gin for a while and I never realised that the Lark was responsible for this delicious range of gins. What a pleasant surprised going here on a whim and learning that fact! The whiskey and gin tasting are both amazing here, and the prices are absolutely fair compared to the exuberant prices I've seen for similar quality at other Tasmanian distilleries. Quality place for a quality time!

Great place to visit if you are a whisky regular or new to trying them. World class whisky and service in the original distillery.

However my experience with service was not great. It was not busy when I went there, but seemed understaffed and the service was very slow and dismissive.
The young man who served me was nice. But it took it quite a while before my order arrived. No water served (so I have to fill the gass with my water bottle), no information regarding the whiskey at all which was quite disappointing.
Definitely nice place but maybe go there when it's not busy?

Amazing experience. Did the whisky flight and came back the next day for the gin flight. All the staff were fabulous with their knowledge and personality. It really made it a great experience. ️️️ oh and the whisky is fantastic!

Wow, great spot with excellent whisky and drinks. Service was outstanding! Comfortable setting to enjoy some of Australia best whisky.

Over hyped. Service was fine but was offered no information on the whiskey itself and took some time to be served. Whiskey was good but again it is hard to justify the price. Also, buying the whiskey tasting flight is $0.50 more expensive than buying the same individually off the menu.

Divine liqueur whiskey at $8 per 15 ml. Drink next to a heater looking out to the waterfront, cool music in the background.

Great service and whiskey. Super chill staff, a few really good tasting flights, a few top shelf bottles here that are worth a try.

Maybe some music would add a bit more ambiance. But the decor is on point.

Had a pleasant hour here today. The gin flight I had was very enjoyable & my husband also enjoyed his whisky flight. Knowledgeable staff & a warm welcoming feel.

Worth a stop on the way out of Constitution Dock. Although the Lark whiskey is not quite to my taste, my wife enjoyed the Gala Estate pinot noir.

Cozy cabin vibes inside and a good relaxed environment to try the lark range. Staff were attentive and explained the nuances across each whiskey. They have a Gin & Tonic/Soda flight too so your non whiskey drinking companions can have a tasting experience too

Great location and try to grab one of the super-comfy red seats inside. Whisky tasting was good value for what was presented. Would be even better if there were a few more non-alcholic options for the drivers, and a few nibbles too.

Really enjoyed the tour. The tour guide was really friendly and happy to answer all questions. Really learned a lot from the tour. I highly recommend their tour if you are interested as you get to see and experience their process of whiskey making.

Great atmosphere and service. The products they offer are Top Shelf. The tours are great as well. Highly recommend

Quaint little bar with a nice vibe. Food truck is parked outside serving nice woodfire pizza which is affordable, so a cool place for a quiet drink or meal with friends.

Great place to checkout, staff are all friendly and very helpfull. They all took the time to try and help me find a nice scotch to try. Great atmosphere.

Distillery tour was the best I've ever had. Got to taste the malted barley, the stages of fermentation of the wash, stages of distillation, and from the cask. Tour was friendly, exceptionally informative, and personal. Truely, a memorable experience. Very highly recommended.

Lads behind the bar know their whisky. And great service too. Will be back here to do a proper tour of the place.
