Irish Murphy's reviews
77What a great place! Called in to watch the game, had a few drinks and most importantly the husband loved the Guinness! Said it was the best pint in Australia so far! (We've been here 2 years from UK). Thanks for the warm welcome
Great food as always. I have been eating at Irish Murphy's since before they moved to Salamanca Place. Generously sized portions and always tasty.
Went here for our last feed in Hobart before heading back home. Great pub food definitely recommended the pie or parma which were both delicious! Guinness on tap too.
Loved this place. The curry chips were delicious, the staff were friendly and all round good vibes. Highly recommended
The fourth pint of Guinness was just as good as the first, came back for dinner, it was so good! County chicken parmi highly recommend led!
This place soothes the soul!? The food, staff, drinks & atmosphere is on point. It has a cosy, laid back vibe. Its a great place to catch up with mates and they have a pool table. But gotta be I quick or early if you want a game.
Great little pub and we received amazing service from the lass working (I believe her name was Brook?). She pours a mean Guiness and has fantastic chat, can't wait to visit again!
Great food, Guinness Pie is super tasty. Great service and atmosphere. The closed bar around the other side could do with a closed sign though.
I havent been to Irish Murphy's for nearly 30 years, and a recent visit to Hobart didn't disappoint. I was fortunate enough to arrive on one of those rare occassions when every second sunday the local Irish musicicans convene a round table and jam along to classic Irish ditties and tunes in an authentic historical tavern playing tin flutes, violins, harp, guitar, and cello and other traditional instruments. It was really a wonderous sight and sound and worth a visit on any day!
One of best pubs where you can swing by to moisten dried throat at Salamanca street, Hobart.
Staffs were very friendly, professional, welcoming with smiles! Even gave me a chance to sip for tasting a local tap beer that I was hesitant to order due to no experience before.
This experience made me a big impression and feel confident to challenge myself to order more and more. Much appreciated for such a kindness.
Will come back for this pub!
Definitely recommended!
Have recently went here for a night out and dinner/drinks with a bunch of friends. It's not overly loud so you can hear everyone talk, the staff are super friendly and seating is ample. Only downside is the prices are steep for meals
5 humble thumbs up! Had a lovely Sunday with the boys. LOVED the Guinness and the tunes. Every time I come to Hobart I make sure that I come here because it is so much fun (:
Perfect pub for a Sunday lunch. The two male staff members holding the fort were very pleasant to all tables and guests. This is what deserved the 5 stars. Good was great too. Well done
Nice Guinness straight from the tap the way it should be. A group of young blokes breaking glasses and swearing as well as smoking took the enjoyment away.
Amazing place to eat if you are in Hobart, the food is a unique take on pub classics with an Irish feel, the staff are incredibly friendly and the atmosphere is second to none.
I had a blast here! Met a bunch of out of towners and had a real laugh. The staff were friendly and worked with a smile. The pool table was a little used but we still had some good games on it. A really nice atmosphere in a lovely location.
My only recommendation would be to play music more engaging and uplifting.
Sometimes the music is boring and flat.
Loved it, I think that it might be the best meal I've had. The chips have really nice seasoning on them too. Sorry I don't have photos becuase I forgot but I had a chicken schnitzel
First visit. Very friendly staff. Great menu choices. Reasonably priced. Nice atmosphere. Recommended
