Huon Valley Caravan Park Tasmania reviews
67 Very well set up. Nice showers and camp kitchen but for the price, i would have expected a few more utensils - even just dish washing liquid. It was by far the most expensive park we've stayed at, at $39 for an un-powerd site. However, the lady running the park was very friendly and helpful, even coming back to check us in since we came late.
I loved the chooks too!
Best campground we’ve ever stayed in! Clean amenities, lovely staff, great camp kitchen and beautiful grounds. Highly recommend.
Great spot to camp in a beautiful town, nice clean amenities and hot showers. Right on the river with the best possible chance of seeing wild platypus.
Beautiful setting next to the river. Biggest camp kitchen I have seen and so well appointed. The showers and toilets are immaculate. Friendly staff. Would definitely stay again. Make sure you check out their Tasmanian devils.
Looks lovely but farm isn't accessible unless you're staying in the caravan park. No cabins but gorgeous tent and caravan sites and lovely service.
We love visiting here! This year the Easter bunny came in a helicopter! Great for kids and pet friendly. My daughter loves the farm show and swimming in the river.
Went to see the Tasmanian devils and was rudely approached by a lady who proceeded to tell us that we weren’t welcome unless we were staying at the park
One of the best in Tassie.large sites.fire pits and free BBQ on river side.grassed sites.some with single and double concrete pads.big camp kitchen.dollar showers very clean.big laundry.walking distance to town.
What an amazing place to sta. Beautiful grassy sites, LG slab sites for those that want them. Excellent facilities. LG camp kitchen that is well fitted out. Gas bbqs in various locations around the edge of the running creek. Herb garden at entry. Tassie Devil feeding at 4pm. Lots of shops in town to get everythng you need. Optometrist, pathologists, Drs.
My only disappointing comment is the pay showers but for $1 I suppose it keeps heating costs down. Would have liked to stay longer but had not budgeted for a longer stay. Would definitely recommend a day here or an extended stay.
Clean tidy with grass and great amenities. The animal show was great also especially for the kids. They had big smiles. Would stay there again.
Very well kept park. Great for kids and adults. Plenty of room. Friendly owners / staff. Ensuites don't supply towels etc as most other parks do. But that not a gamechanger.
Had time for a coffee & a treat whilst our washing was in the laundry mat, great coffee & a large selection of treats & meals topped off with good service.
This caravan Park was the 2nd one I've been to and it is amazing I hope that this place gets more reviews like this one
38dollar unpowered +19 each adult with showers and laundry cost extra. So kinda expensive but atleast the camping ground itself was pretty. Right at the river on a green field. Kitchen is spacious with plenty of cooking spots and BBQ but a huge TV being annoying, unless you want that ofcourse. All in all it was a good stay but you get more somewhere else.
Overall a good park with grassy or slab sites, and pleasant, modern amenities. The animal show most days at 4pm was the highlight.
The owner runs a tight ship.
Great family park. Right on the river. Kids on bikes and canoes. Friendly staff. Well maintained
One of the best we've stayed all over Aus. Organised managers spotless amenities lush green grass sites mowed regularly 1.5ks from town in the Huon Valley.
No amenities due to a fire (3 months ago). Set up our tents on an un-powered site which cost $38 then realized there was not even a tap within 100 meters, nowhere to sit, no rubbish bin closer than 200 meters. I spoke to the owner who, after I told her we were on bicycles, suggested we pack up our things, get a refund, and go to Cygnet, 17ks away. Overpriced and terrible customer service
Absolutely the best caravan park in Tasmania! The amenities are amazing can not fault them.
Rowan and his staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back!
