Huon Valley Caravan Park Tasmania reviews
67Very peaceful location for families with caravans and campers with modern amenities- camp kitchen, laundry, showers, toilets. Also Tassie devils which you can watch being fed at 4pm daily. If needing supplies it's a short drive into Huonville. Remember that for all these facilities it comes at a cost - $50 a night for campers which may be expensive for some. Use it well and it's a bonus.
If you want a mean, grumpy, old, selfish, money greedy old man violently disrespect you, I recommend this place. If you want to pay stupid amounts of money for very basic ammenities that have no soap in the bathrooms and reeks of human waste you should go here. The old man needs to learn some basic customer service skills and needs to learn to respect paying patrons.
Love it here. Booked for a week, stayed for 6 months - it is so close to shops and services. Lovely park and very clean.
Truly outstanding site. River was tranquil and all was Park like in its setting. Faultless lawns and amenities. You get what you pay for. 10 out of 10.
We've stayed a couple of time now and have never been disappointed.
Highly recommend you check this park out!
This is such an awesome caravan park to stay. Wide spaces, lots of amenities and well maintained, you can tell alot of care goes in to this place.
Seeing the tazmanian devil's was something else and definitely a highlight of my trip, old mate was amazing, he runs a tight ship and I respect that!
Great amenities, big camp spots, lots of space! Probably the best caravan park I’ve been to. Also great to be able to see some devils and camp near the river. Highly recommend!
This is a little slice of paradise in the Huon Valley. Immaculate grounds, great amenities and friendly staff who very reasonably accomodated our late check-in at rather short notice.
To top it all off, we watched a platypus feeding and swimming in the river behind our campsite at dusk - just magical.
Great caravan park. Green and spacious, modern and clean facilities/amenities. Chooks and ducks visit every day. Close to lots of places of interest.
Pretty unfortunate “visitors” are not allowed upon the campsite to visit friends and family over Christmas …. One particular male reception staff would benefit from learning a bit of decent customer service and friendliness whilst informing unbeknownst people about this crazy rule. Would not recommend and don’t bother if you want to visit anyone!
The facilities are excellent and well maintained. Each sure is large, and the grass is kept in wonderful condition. Camp kitchen is large and well supplied with useful appliances. The ckooks and geese add a great 'country' touch.
Absolutely awesome park. Everything is immaculate, the amenities, the grounds & the service
Excellent c/p, clean, green, huge sites. Great camp kitchen, fantastic hot showers. Need some CRC on toilet doors, very squeaky. Bit of a smell from septic occasionally but only slight, there were a lot of campers. They do a magnificent job.
What a gem of a place. Amazing amenities and if you have kids and like animals they have it all. We had dinner as the sun set watching a platypus play in the river! Enough said
Such a beautiful, well looked after park. Luscious grass sites. Lovely clean amenities. We loved the farm feeding show at 4pm and that dogs were welcome to watch too
Beautifully maintained, lush grass, bbqs, top quality amenities, the pricing makes sense. Sleeping in a swag felt like glamping when we stayed here. Farm show and devil feeding is a treat. Dog friendly too
Very nice location. The kitchen area is open and quite cold with snow visible on surrounding mountains.
What a beautiful park this is. Every aspect to make our stay comfortable was considered and addressed from the new ammenities to the fire pit having wood in it ready for our return after visiting some of the local sites. The friendly staff were always on hand to share special features ie feeding of the animals and local knowledge. Thank you

This campsite was fantastic. The lady at the reception was super helpful and friendly. The amenities were extremely clean and the kitchen was amazing. They even had Tasmanian Devils inside and a very informative feeding and viewing time. The reception lady Jessica even gave me home grown apples as we were asking if there was anything close by, so she bought some in for us. A lovely experience.
Beautiful spot, relaxing, well maintained. Amenities all modern and immaculately clean. Our dog was welcome with common sense rules to comply with, but she loved the walks around the creek beds and off leash area. Wish we had bought a couple of steaks as they have gas Webber Q’s and camp fires located on the riverside. I would definitely add this to my Tassie trip next time.
