Highly recommend staying here! Beautiful old world charm, clean and comfy. Situated just on the outskirts of Richmond and an easy drive to the airport. The staff/owners were very friendly and happy to have a chat.

Had a room booked, picked up the key and had been in the room, only to have our stay cancelled, because someone had made a booking online after we had already been there and they get priority apparently. We were offered another room, nothing at all like the one we had originally booked, that 'hadn't been used in a while' and needed to be aired out and cleaned prior to us being able to use it. The owner was not at all apologetic. Terrible service. Would not recommend.

Enjoyed our 3 night stay, Fantastic owners, made to feel very welcome, the whole atmosphere there was great, loved the quiet and the animals especially the horses, seeing them every morning puts a smile on your face, couldn’t recommend this place enough.

Great Atmosphere. Friendly service, made to feel a part of their family. Highly recommend this place. Food and company were fantastic. Will definitely stay here again. Great value for money.

Badly dated and inadequately maintained. Not super-clean and not great value (we were charged $15 for Coco-pops which is obv bad enough but breakfast is advertised at $13).
Would recommend staying elsewhere. The surrounds and town are nice. Check your bill before you pay.

Absolutely disgusting. Would never recommend. Spiders and hair in the bed. Heaters all broken or leaking Gas so badly it wasn’t safe and we all got sick. Cutlery and bowls dirty, cockroaches and wasps. Dust and used used hand wash and shower gel. Stains on the sheets and on top of bed covers. Only enough hot water for 1 person. Spa broken. Towels stained. Some lights broken. Chair has a staple coming out of it. Dirt incubated light switches. Wet toilet paper. Couldn’t wait to get out of there. Truely disgusting. We all had to sleep in our clothes, our T-shirts covering dirty worn pillow cases it was so freezing and dirty. Something out of a nightmare.

We had no heating as the heater only blew out cold air so it was an extremely cold night also we had to clean the spa as it was full of hair and the cutlery and untensils where wet and full of water as they was not dried from the stay before us. Would not recommend as the owner had no remorse!

This place is not for everyone. I seriously emphasise the last phrase. It's like staying at an Ali Express version of Disney hotel/motel with a side of gypsy. I was so scared staying here, especially in the middle of winter (the trees). Heating was useless, the number of plates/cups/chairs did not match the number of beds/people staying.it was cold as sht. The walls and ceilings are all different colours - very quirky- if you are artistic this is the place for you. I promise it'll tickle your emotions and inspiration. Owners are extremely friendly and just ask them for milk etc.

Found through air bnb we stayed one night as a large family (total 6).
Stayed in 3 bedroom apartment, 1st floor next to reception. Place was slightly different to the photos example: set up is different including couches covering cupboards.
There was no milk and one large cup with 4 really small ones. Coffee, tea and sugar was provided.
Overall place was clean except for the showers which came across as gritty.
Spa bath did not work at all, showers had little or no pressure.
Large place with a total of 6 beds, bedrooms don't warm up but there was electric blankets provided.
Good location and easy find, also not far from touristy stuff.
Had trouble finding lady at reception for both check in and check out, although she did explain a worker had ran over her dog so understandable.
Over all probably worth it for cost, great for location.

It's a quirky eclectic place, like no other, always working on another project. Hosts are hard working and humble, very relaxed and welcoming.

Such an awesome place. Rooms are huge. Beautiful surroundings and a beautiful house/mansion. This place is a holiday destination in itself. Highly recommend.

Very run down hotel. More like a 2 star that the 4 star hotel they claim to be. I felt very upset with the very rundown room and the mattress was terrible. I could not sleep at all. We pay top dollars for the 2 nights we stayed and i felt taken advantage off. Full of spiders our room and a terrible odour. They need to really work hard to make it cleaner and nicer very disappointed. I would like my money back.

This accommodation is not for everyone. It’s a vision of the owners, built by them in the 1990's. The property is quirky, built in a Tudor manor house style with Tudor furnishings. A bit over the top with the decor. Less is sometimes the best, to much look just plain odd. Our room was large but dark, with an explosion of different colours from floor to ceiling. The room had a musky smell about it and needed dusting. The bedding, linen and towels were very thin and worn. Not inviting. Our impression was that maybe they need to concentrate on guests needs, quality of the essential, along with general room maintenance, giving a better overall quality, look and freshness. Photos make it look picturesque but with a closer look, overall the premises is starting to show signs of needing maintenance. We did not have any meals there so unable to comment. Family that run the manor were welcoming and friendly.

Beautiful buildings and gardens. Very noisy with people above us, floors creaking, felt like they were going to come through the ceiling. Security light the size of a soccer ball was kept on all night shining in our bedroom.

We had a fwanoderful stay in this place. The manor kept the "spirit of history" but has everything we needed. The location is great, we walked only 17 miniutes to reach the city center. A little princess of the manor - Bethany is just adorable. We wish one day to stay there again.

The room and property were amazing. The host were friendly and accommodating. The food was awesome. Such a great experience, we’ll be back when we are in Tasmania again.

The room was spacious enough, but it was in need of a whole lot of TLC, very outdated. The staff were friendly enough but the meals leave alot to be desired. Stain on the carpet, spa bath only runs for a limited tim and if you want coffee or tea better you take your own with milk and sugar to. Not somewhere i would stay again.

We stayed one night after being booked and recommended by a travel agent. Dirty is an understatement and highly overpriced. Would never stay here again and would not recommend.
