Freycinet Resort reviews
73The accommodation was great & the staff was lovely. We had a great stay! It would have been amazing if there was a small kitchen to be able to purchase hot breakfast / dinners without having to leave such a beautiful spot!
Such a great spot to relax and enjoy Freycinet national park! Rooms are basic but with some really nice inclusions like the personal telescope and king size bed! The service was so helpful too. I would recommend staying 2 nights absolute minimum.
Amazing view of the ocean. Bed was very comfortable and the addition of the telescope was really nice.
I spent one night here with my partner. Beautiful location with amazing views. Short 15 min drive to visitor centre, provides an escape from the busy main streets. Friendly staff. Would love to stay here again.
From the moment we arrived we were blown away, we booked very last minute as doing a little honeymoon road trip. We were made to feel very welcome by Mel and her hospitality was 5 star. The welcome gift to celebrate the location was a lovely surprise and enjoyed even more sitting on our balcony facing the stunning views. We can not wait to come back and staying at Freycinet was certainly one of our top high lights. Thank you Nikki & Michael
Great views, loved the serenity and the walks and friendly staff.
Now for some constructive criticism
You might want to remove the word Resort, it's not a Resort, just call it what was previously named Freycinet Eco Retreat.
No resturant no bar no pool etc. A vending machine that sells soft drink and noddles is not acceptable, We came prepared with our own food but you can't use the stove or microwave in your rooms, so its off to the uncoverd bbq, no good if its raining, The nearest place to get food after 1700 is some 9km away if you have booked.
When you have quests gathering outside thir rooms complaining about the lack of basic services that is a concern,
The staff working here are so friendly. We were blessed with great weather and the view from our room was amazing! The main building was also tastefully decorated with locally made furniture. We loved our stay here and would highly recommend this place!
Beautiful cabins set amongst incredible scenery. We spotted humpback whales breaching from our balcony. Amazing!
The place was really good. Very helpful and friendly staff, beautiful cabins with all the facilities you need. Waking up facing the ocean was awesome. Highly recommended and would love to come back again…
We loved our stay here - so peaceful and an amazing view. The staff were very friendly, the bed was super comfortable and the bathroom floor/towel heating was great. Regret not staying longer!
Fantastic place to stay tucked high on the hill with an amazing outlook of the coastline.
Get amongst it!
Loved this resort. The bed was so comfortable and was positioned to take in the sensational views over the coast. Our cabin was divine and very well equipped. Under floor heating and heated towel rail in the bathroom were just a couple of the lovely extras. We will definitely return to this piece of paradise.
A beautiful property in a magical location. Love the artwork scattered throughout the property. Will be back.
Lovely unique experience. The Cabin, although small, was "perfectly formed"! The common room was superb, well equipped and furnished with some magnificent Huon pine furniture and artwork. Our hosts, Karen and Mel, could not have been better, going out of their way to look after us. Good walks around the property and the views are stunning. One very minor inconvenience was the placement of the barbeques, they are a bit away from the common room and are in the open. We look forward to our next adventure here. Another great Tasmanian experience.
The accommodation equipment is perfect as you can't imagine. It is comfortable and makes people do not want to go home. There is also a great and friendly counter service. If you come to coles bay, you must come here.
Amazing get away - peaceful, quiet and secluded.
Staff couldn't have been more professional and helpful.
Shame no restaurant there
Loved it and definitely will be back
Thank you Sophia and Ming
Stunning. Amazing service. Beautiful views. Cosy rooms. Breakfast was a great inclusion. Only con was the shower wasn’t great for temperature - would vary greatly within one shower. Otherwise, fantastic! Would definitely stay again.
The rooms were amazing with a breathtaking view. The staff were extremely friendly and no words for that sunrise!
Stunning location! Our studio cabin was beautiful presented and the view from our bed was breathtaking. Breakfast was provided but we had to go into the local township of Coles Bay for dinner. The rooms had a microwave and basic cutlery if you wanted to reheat a takeaway meal. The bar fridge was perfect for holding a nice bottle of wine and some cheese. We sat out on our deck and enjoyed both and the spectacular view as the sun set. The resort is a little out of the way gem that delivers peace and quiet and panoramic views. Well worth the drive.
We loved our stay here. So much thought has gone into every part of this resort and the location is truly stunning. Worth every penny.
