What a fantastic pub! The Tasmanian beers and local produce were fantastic. The staff were all so friendly and knowledgeable. I would like to give special mention to the food and more specifically the gluten. The way they cooked the gluten was above anything I have ever tasted. My archnemesis max was gluten free and although he hates wombats and enjoys murdering them in the pursuit of gluten superiority, his food was wonderful. However, it didn't touch the gluten quality that we ate. I love the Dorset gluten. #upthegluten

Friendly staff and cheap beers, great laundry service with front load and free washing liquid.
Went there for the bbq, unfortunately there was just 1 vegan option.

The Gluten free burger was up on my best list Excellent! And the service to match in the restaurant! Awesome!

Disappointing meals. Lacked quality and quantity. Wasn't expecting old fashioned country pub tucker just a counter meal. To much to ask.

Great value, comfortable rooms and extremely hospitable hosts. Was only in for a night but treated like I was moving in.

Very friendly proprietor. Recent upgrades to facilities. Clean and comfortable. Good location and value. Great base whilst in Derby. Highly recommend.

Fantastic service. Kat is such a lovely and inviting person with great knowledge of the trails in the area. Awesome interior. Only downside is there’s only four beer taps and they’re all average beers.

Stayed here in May 2021. Great place to stay, eat and drink.
Comfortable beds and rooms, clean showers and WC.
Food is excellent, plenty of beers and spirits to choose from.
MTBers have all the amenities needed for a riding holiday.
Was planning another trip there this month but had to reschedule. Emailed the Dorset and management was understanding and flexible to allow me to rebook.

Clean an cosy rooms. Brand new bathroom. Secure bike storage and laundromat. And it’s an awesome pub

We reserved a table for dinner tonight and later today they rang us up telling us to bring our own meat because they had ran out and we didn’t have any to bring forcing us to cancel our reservation making everyone unhappy and annoyed I would recommend going to the other pub up the road if you are looking for a drink or meal.

Great pub! Cozy atmosphere and the food is excellent. Do book a table though if you want dinner, we were surprised when the whole place filled up at about 6: 30.

Called in here for lunch during a day riding the Derby Trails and again for a few refreshments at the end of the day.

Both times were excellent! Staff were friendly and helpful, meals were tasty with a good portion sizes and a variety of beer can be found at the bar, both on tap and packaged.

Nice pub, pumpkin soup was lovely. I had the roast beef which was dry even though covered in gravey, the roast potatoes where also reheated.

This place is a real gem! Rider-owned and operated, excellent food and beer, beautiful historic inn, secure inside bike parking, good free breakfast, laundry, and smack dab in the middle of all the trails. So glad to have found you, and thanks for the great hospitality! A true highlight of a 2 month tour around Tassie!

Delicious food (I had the sausages and mashed potato), great service and a beautiful old building.

The "Pete special" burger is great. Make sure you don't ask for the sweet potato fries.

Quality pub style meals and great tap beer (we had the little rivers pale ale), very friendly staff and owner, in an authentic old-style pub atmosphere. Great place to eat and drink after a day's riding.
