Had the best time ever. They well and truly looked after us. I stayed here with my youngest daughter on a mountain bike trip and it was perfect. Affordable, central location, breakfast included, craft beer, delicious meals, storage for bikes and super friendly staff, absolutely loved it!

Excellent place to eat with very high quality meals and better selection for dinner than Main Street. Scotch fillet steak was excellently cooked to order and one of the better steaks we've had in Tasmania so far. Make sure you book tables as the place is full very quick. Outdoor beer garden is also great with live music. Can't rate accommodation as we didn't stay here.

1 star for the lovely staff that appearer to be under staff. Another star for the food. Unfortunately the opening hours was a disgrace. Shutting at 830pm on a Friday with 20 ppl in the bar. Owner needs to take a hard look at himself.

Sam was our lovely bartender and he made every effort to introduce us to all the locally made beers and gins. The food was not what we expected from a country pub - we had the chicken schnitzel (which is very pub-like) and the salmon rice bowl. Both dishes were delicious.

Checked in late, great instructions. Friendly, put the heater on for me so by the time I got there the room was warm. Great dinner

This is a tough review. Had a booking, so one would expect to slide in, order and depart for the next booking.
There was a new lady working on a Saturday night. It was busy, she was flustered and the usual staff were very accommodating to bring her up to speed. If she survives tonight, then she deserves the job.
Waited for over 20 mins to order at the bar, whilst I had to mingle with people just drinking. The extensive alcohol selection often had me hearing the same questions and answers as to the offerings.
The food was just average, but priced as exorbitant. Apparently the chef resigned recently. This might account for the online menu being different to the actual menu. Heavy bent of oriental food, which my partner had and actually enjoyed.
Seriously, you have a captive market, with not many options in town. Tonight I felt that you really didn't care about the paying customer, who was unloading plenty of cash into your pub
Would I come back.no, it's cheaper and better to cook yourself at your self contained accommodation. Even if your arse, legs, knees, back and souls hurts after the trails.
If you do choose to eat here, bring your own Vaseline. It might lessen the pain you will experience.

The best food ever in this joint. No matter what you choose, it's Devine. Had butter chicken tonight. The very, very best ever!

Party of 12 stayed 3 nights. Great spot, great food and friendly helpful staff. Great mountain biking too.

Great spot to stay when exploring the Derby MTB trials. Located on the river trail its only a short ride to the trail head. Room was small and facing the main road so was a bit noisy. Separate bathroom/toilets would not suite everyone. Bike shed to store bikes securely overnight was a big plus.

Friendly staff, simple rooms, great bathrooms, close to floating sauna - walkable distance. Brekky and snacks in fridge were an added bonus.

Decent food with decent price. There was a good variety of meal to choose from. Locally sourced and tasted good. Only negative was the slowness of service. It took an hour to get our meal.

Have you ever wondered what it's like to walk into a bar, have the music stop and everyone stares at you like you don't belong? If so then this is the place for you!

While the food was good the staff and bar flies (assuming they work there too wearing the Dorset shirts) aren't so much. Too hard to help you get a beer by moving away from the bar/till when served and trying to pay and when you ask for a table for dinner it all becomes a little too hard and they ignore you. Could be the best place in Derby if there was *any* customer service.

Greek Lamb Platter and Pork Katsu we had for dinner were cooked to perfection and the service was friendly and efficient. I would fully recommend this place for overnight stay and dinner.

Great value, clean rooms, clean/modern shared bathrooms. Great bar/restaurant downstairs! They also cover the small things like having laundry facilties for washing dirty mtb clothes!

Great food, great service, great pub atmosphere, a great place for a feed and wind down, game of pool after a day's riding at Derby.

Staff were friendly and accommodating. Our first night in town they served us after the kitchen had closed and treated us like locals for our entire stay.

Great little gem at heart of Derby. We stayed here and had a couple of meals in the restaurant. The food was great and the rooms were clean and functional. The staff were very welcoming and hospitable. Highly recommended for anyone that is looking for a central Derby accomodation option.

Popped in to do some washing (thank you) and stayed at the bar for a few hours. Brodie was great, helped us to decide where to 4WD next and was very informative on the area. Thank you so much!

The hosts are really friendly & prompt to help you with anything you need. The renovated toilets are great with top quality fixtures & finishes. Rooms are also very cosy. Food at the pub is delicious & make sure to try the desserts.
Can't wait to go back.
