Discovery Parks - Devonport reviews
50The park is well maintained and the staff are helpful and friendly. Showers toilets are well serviced and maintained. Very happy with our stay.
Beautiful place near the beach, good for children in the playground, we saw bunnies and some bird in front of our cabin, nice and clean, thank you very much
Convenient location. Close to Spirit of Tasmania. Clean. Basic. Nice place for a walk out from here along the waters edge.
Rude, inconsiderate staff. Unwilling to cater for camping needs. Inflexible attitude, towing the company line. Won't stay here again.
Great place and real nice staff, stay open for everyone getting of the spirit of Tasmania when they could have closed at 5pm, well done to Alan and his team
Nice place on the coast in devonport. It's a good place to stay if you have an early ride on the Spirit of Tasmania. It is a caravan park so nothing too fancy. When we arrived it was cold and windy but the heater heated the room nice and fast.
There was nobody at the service desk when we arrived but they do send a text with the code so you can get your key.
TV was nice and big. Beds were nothing too fancy but dealable. Bathroom was alright.
A beautiful presented cabin park at reasonable prices and friendly staff a must see place to go and stay at.
Lovely park with a beautiful outlook. Well maintained and very clean. We loved it enough to stay twice.
The descriptions of the accommodation on their website is false and misleading as there are no gas log fires. No electric blankets on the beds in the middle of a Tassie winter and not having any spare blankets makes this an overpriced and unpleasant place to stay.
3 stars since the location offsets everything else that didn't work for us. The cabin itself was fairly basic. The shower broke down at night and I requested after hours assistance. The person who manages the property had a look and said it couldn't be repaired right away. He said they could arrange us to use the shared amenities area in the meantime, which wasn't exactly 5 star service. We basically made it through the 1 night by turning water supply on and off, since otherwise the shower wouldn't stop running. We stayed in cabin 26 and while a lot of people may not believe in hauntings I am dead certain the cabin had at least 1 other occupant other than us. My mum who was with us made a remark in our native language which I heard a male voice repeat. This was strange since there was no other male in our group and everyone else staying at the parks did not speak that language. This created a doubt in my mind, however, when I slept that night, he came to me in my dream and tried to intimidate me and that's when I knew I was right. Anyhow, to me this isn't a huge deal. I have dealt with these things in the past as well but I know a lot of people would be very apprehensive about these things.
