Dan Murphy's New Town

Great range especially of tassie drinks but a few of my fave tasmanian drinks weren't there. Always room for improvement

Hobart residents have been waiting for Dan Murphy for so long, and I am glad it has finally arrived here.

This afternoon, I went to buy some alcohol from Dan Murphy New town Tasmania. I had my friend with me.who looks under 18 he was not buying any alcohol even then they refused to sell alcohol to me as well they need ID for both of us which I had with me. They did not accept international id of him. I understand about the refuse for sale but when I was talking to the higher authority person who says, This is my license this is my rules when I said I will confirm with the head office he said happily because emails come to me answer will be the same. I was fully sober.products are good but the behavior was so rude like a dictatorship.

The best bottle shop in Hobart. Absolutely friendly staff. You can try tasting 4cups per visit. Staff served the tasting and guided me very well. If you want to try new drink but don't have any idea, they will find bestest best recommendations for you!

Most impressed with the new Dan Murphy's. Have attended an informative & enjoyable wine tasting after which I became a member. I like the "Member Offers" & that they ask about the kind of information you want to receive. There has been assistance each time I have visited.
Recently I made an online order for pickup which was successful at every stage, terrific communication through notification. I love browsing via the app. As it happened I needed to change my order. The sales assistant refunded me for my online order without fuss & I was able to get what I needed from the shop.
I have a friend who lives in central Tassie who enjoys free delivery to her door.

Popped in and I was in complete awe of how big the place was, absolutely everything from A-Z, I'd never seen anything like it, went up and down the shelves for half an hour easily, over by the wine section I ended up talking to a cool bloke stocking the shelves and had a convo about wines and the specials, he helped me pick out a nice bottle of rosè, absolute legend. After I'd picked up what I was looking for I made my way to the checkouts and was greeted by this beautiful young blonde woman with the widest smile I've ever seen, while I was being wrung up we had a short convo and laugh about things and I was on my way, it even turned out to be cheaper than I thought.

100/10 would buy again.

Best place to be when you need beer or whisky or spirits!
This the only Dan Murphy’s you will find in entire Tasmania.
If you are traveller suggest to load up with couple of cases or bottles before you head on to the trip.

Prices are low compared to all other bottle shops.

Some times You won’t find the member’s offer stuff on the shelf maybe they won’t display but still you find something cheap.

Made us of the wedding booze bundle. Staff were friendly and it was painless. Every staff member we encountered went over and above to help us. Thank you

Huge selection, but don't stock everything. There's still a reason to shop elsewhere for things that they don't possess, but otherwise I buy everything from them.

SO nice to finally have Dan Murphy's here! We shop from them regularly when visiting Queensland, and felt we were missing out until they opened here. GREAT selection of international beers and wines! Very obliging, friendly staff - nothing is ever too much trouble. The order-on-line / pick up options works great for us, too!

The didnt have the Hawaiian rum that was said to be available according to the online catalog. The staff member had some attitude when I said the catalog showed New Town having stock

It's Dan Murphy's, what's not to like? First one in Hobart, and being the biggest bottle shop in Hobart, it has the biggest selection with good prices.

CAme here duing the Christmas rush and the staff were really nice despite the fact they probably already served 100 people before me.

Another massive store of Dan Murphy's with different ranges of Australian wine, craft beers and American Whiskies. You can even find top-notch Tasi wines. Friendly staff with lot of parking spots, though gets quite busy during peak seasons! Same as major branches in Sydney. Bon Appetite, mates!

Very helpful staff who are knowledgeable about their products! Taste testers are frequently available to discover something new!
I was also very impressed with how responsible and seriously staff take ID checks! Well done!
